Agree with all your points. What's missing is usually a thorough evaluation of product market fit, and underestimating the amount of work and marketing that's needed to sell the clothes.
I worked at an apparel brand where they literally sold BLANK tshirts and did about $70 million a year. Problem was they basically forced themselves into the market but don't look any different, and their site looks like a Sears catalog. However one of the biggest competitors (true classic tees), knew how to brand and dominate the market.
Great video topic. People always ask me how I do it & have success. I have to be honest with them. I explain that it’s not as easy as they think. I wouldn’t have even attempted it if I didn’t have years of experience as first a graphic designer then creative director in the pro marketing field working on Fortune 500 brands. There is a lot you need to learn & master. It can be done but be prepared to put in the work. I was lucky to learn all the skills needed during my career but that took years. I wish everyone luck…be ready to put in the work with patience & also be willing to constantly learn & evolve. Great tip about the niche…it’s so important you reverse engineer a brand to a specific demographic. I see so many people make brands that don’t have a market fit.
Yes Its true. I think, all bussines Have this. Not only clothing. Ok clothing Is Věry competitive, but on other hand, what Is not competitive And Have less competition. The world Have enought of everithing. But your right bro

starting a clothing brand is easy, however, having one that makes consistent sales and becomes a strong brand is hard af.
