Agree with you about Lidl. They used to give benefits when you spent smaller amounts, but now you get virtually nothing until you spend £250 !
Most DACs sound similarly and AB testing shows that they are hard to distinguish with any certainty
It is an area that can be a money pit
I have two $600 ish AK4499 DACs and a $1k ish R2R
I prefer the R2R but I could live with any of them
I also have a digital amplifier that does DA conversion but does not have a DAC
I have AK 4493 SU-1 and ESS DACs that cost less than $100 that sound good as well and are used as computer DACs
If I had the money I would have a $5k plus DAC, why not

Set the dac up in MIDI is for a MAC and connected audio devices on windows
please get the wiim ultra and then do some tests with the room correction

Not to my knowledge.
Shame it didn’t have a headphone socket but like a cheap portable dac. I noticed you got phone on that I take it using Apple Music or Amazon or others abs worked ok
