The musical heroes of our past are leaving us one by one. The 50's,60's and 70's were a magical time that we all took for granted as it happened. In retrospect there was such great talent producing the songs of our lives. Those times are gone forever but how lucky we were.

Phyllis McGuire was an incredible talent. Her grasp of music and ability to sing perfectly before there were gadgets to make singers sound better was tremendous. On TH-cam the McGuire Sisters were first shown to America on The Arthur Godfrey Talent Hour which all can see if they "google" it. See for yourself. The three sisters over powered all the other acts on stage to win. In fact, the manager of the Cincinnati hotel they performed at introduced them on the show to America. Their voices were beautiful and this was before any gizmos that could be used to hide vocal defects. Check out this episode. The McGuire Sisters national debut on Arthur Godfrey was incredible and their vocal peformance flawless.

I have many stories I could add,,, Phylis you sure were interesting with a interesting life. I loved visiting my dad at your place. I loved the icecream parlor that you had totally stocked when we came to visit and we could make whatever we wanted. And the machine that could shoot tennis balls to you. and frustrated that my brother got to play pitch with "the grown ups" but, I was to young :-). And I LOVED your maids-It amkes me so sad that I do not remeber their names. Eunice? and ??? oh how I loved how happy they always were.

I wouldn't have produced this with as few pictures as you've repeated too often.

She should have gone to prison. She in with Sam Giancana and was as guilty as he was.

She knew all about him & didn’t care. That bunk about her making all that dough through oil investments. If she did it was through him. She had jewelry to rival Liz Taylor & I don’t believe for a moment she didn’t get anything when he died.
