This is a great bike and Honda did a great job designing this, I like it, unfortunate that is not available in North America, instead we get the NC750X which I think is not as good as Honda's X-ADV....
Because americans hates scooters...
Not all of them of course but i dont why they dont like them.
@@NoFaceNoNameee Agreed. I wish we had more options for scooters. I would love to try out the X-ADV, unfortunately, we get the ADV150.
They fucked us over on the CB1100 **RS** as well. Then discontinued the CB1100 altogether when they experienced poor sales of their fugly and underperforming EX and Base models that had STUPID wire-spoke 18" wheels and a metric ton of chrome.
How is the position for your back and knees?...I am 1,90 meters length
Nice little bike, but without crash bars on the thing if you drop it or crash on it you will have to replace a lot of plastics, which will add up to a lot of money. I rather get a real ADV bike with crash bars. Can you find some good knobbies for the thing! And why can't they make a manual transmission version. Or least put the rear break on the floor panel like the Yamaha Riva 180 had it?

Scooters, were things for the Mods of the early, to late 1960's, with things like Vespa SS180's. When compared to this machine though, is more like what a posh Greaser, or Rocker would have. My best friend has a 2017 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin, so I know what a Class Motorcycle is. I am toying with the idea of getting either one of these Honda X-ADV, or perhaps Honda NC 750X. Because of my age, an Africa Twin is really out of the question. Thanks for Uploading this very sensible video, and I don't have any problem with your accent at all, so keep up the good work, over the Channel ;p

Good job Honda for creating a new breed of scooter. i can see that other companies are going to follow suit.. Very soon. there will be smaller versions of these and adventure scootering is going to be a thing of the future. The price is abit crazy though.
this is not for the dirt bikes and adv purist though. There are many people who wants an adv bike but not all the weight and gear shifts.

Yeah the price is a bit high but same as the Tmax, I will prefer this one 100 times and actually waiting for mine in a couple of days.

Here's what's missing for me: Center Stand, heated seat, heated grips, some kind of mount to put panners on it, USB plug on the dash area would be great as well. I have a Piaggio BV500 and this is just what a scooter hybrid needs to make it perfect. Twist and go throttle is perfect, don't care about shifting anymore, some limited dirt road capability would be fun.
well you can actually get a center stand, heated grips should be no preoblem, can get the topcase from Honda (don't know about the sidecases). The USb would be great great to have =)
I hope Honda does not make it to a off-road Goldwing.

@@überbooga they DO have a small 150cc version available. Not sure if it’s available in the US, but I have seen it here in Europe. Start saving up 😂

John Baker I would suggest you ask Honda nicely and they will sent you one ;)
The bikes im about to name are great Bikes, but from a Technical standpoint dont consider them as Scooters.
Yamaha TMax, Suzuki Burgman 650, Kymco AK 550, & Honda X ADV to name a few . But thats just my humble opinion .
By the way i commute almost daily on my 2016 Kymco People GTi 300.

Well done. I liked the video footage. Get a drone to add to your arsenal of cameras for some awesome overhead trailing shots. I really like the integration of ADV and scooter practicality. The windshield adjuster is brilliant. Good work, Honda. NOW BRING PRICE DOWN TO $9500! For what you're asking, I can get a Yamaha FJ-09 ADV with twice the horsepower!
Exactly my thoughts, even the same engine and same DCT in a NX750 costs 8500 EUR instead of the 11500 EUR they want for the X-ADV in my country :-O
Yeah it’s overpriced but it’s so unique it doesn’t have competition from other brands... so people are getting it and the price is staying. Now the 2018 version is out and you can get a 1000 euro discount on the 2017

So it's like a hybrid. Mtb / road in the Cycle world. Tbf I used to love stripping a moped and taking it to the local back woods. No I can be a posh chav now 😂 🤘. Not into bikes yet but auto does have it's training uses. We've all been thru that ego phase. But the real world you competing with yourself. Always race better than you better lose and learn then win and plato out.

This thing in my opinion is not even close to a scooter, it's a auto enduro bike but not a scooter yes it's a Automatic, & so is a Car.

Here in Philippines the baby sibling is ADV 150.
It will keep your lady bits cool with the breeze and save you the effort of lifting your leg to change gear - sold!

This is a great “soft roader” option, but it isn’t an ADV bike. Great and accessible for people who maybe have physical limitations that don’t allow them to straddle or handle a dirt bike or ADV bike.
Price wise, you’d be MUCH better served buying a CB500X and doing the Rally Raid Stage 3 Adventure upgrades. Even paying a shop to do the labor, you’ll be in it for less than this, and have a bike that will legitimately take you into the middle of nowhere and get you home reliably. See the video reviews with Jenny Morgan of Rally Raid for more details.
