Inevitable is absolutely a possible run killer. You CAN play defensively against the hand and usually you'll have good answers for 4/6 sides and can take your time. If you're up against inevitable and never got a real hard hitting single damage source (or just get unlucky with rolls for a few turns) you can easily end up with the spiral flank weaken/cleave exert and then he just casually bites and heals back up to full.
I don't want to be there chatter but I remember Mr Streamer putting me on BLAST for saying Inevitable can lock you out of a win if you're not ready for him.
I think the inevitable fight is usually about managing the wisps, sometimes killing them, but sometimes leaving certain ones alive to break an intangle hp when there is a chance. I just find that if I get lost in killing wisps I fall behind and cant keep up with inevitable themself.
Corruption is super good on herbalist and doctor. I’ll usually take it, if I already have herbalist. You’d still prefer her mana sides, but if you end on 2 heal/regen, it’s pretty good.
Feels like inevitable is a question of: can you mitigate group exert with cleanse? Or can you mitigate the damage/pain from wisps. If you cant mitigate group exert 3 turns in a row, you kind have to either kill inevitable fast or the wisps/bones? Its the same as troll. You either kill the boss fast, or you kill the adds and outlive the boss
See, this run didn't even have +1hp, and yet there's still a posibility for rushing inevitable to be the right play. So with the curse, that's an extra 5hp you have to go through, enough to possibly give an extra turn for inevitable, which is exponentially dangerous . The likelyhood in that case of inevitable to be the best target increases, as such (if you have burst attacks of course, otherwise , cleaning wisps is still better)
hey voyix, could you try playing a slippery dice 1 (the tier 4)? i would like to see your thought process because i think is not that bad as you think it is. If you dont want to risk your streak you can play it in custom mode
Nah chief, I just don't see it. I think the same thing I thought with the last Inevitable fight, which is even more backed up you going out of the way to illustrate the position you're in when leaving Bones/Wisps alive when compared with the last one. Soothe goes a long way with Inevitable gone, and the last fight was way more "unwinnable" than the position you were in for this fight and was bailed out by a single side on 1 character after sacking 3 others that you admitted to not even realizing was an out before it popped up. Bones/Wisps leaves you so many more options for counterplay and rolling to your outs. I'm not saying it's always right to focus Inevitable, but I think it definitely was here, and it almost definitely was the better option last run too.

never picked this curse and actually learned a lot from this video, really shows the importance of exploring each other's bodies
ayoo
Very true
Whuh….

(Same for every boss)
Even dragon can if you get unlucky. First turn bit my shaman and I low rolled shields, followed by exclusively poison spam.
You could've run abacus on chrono into the final boss to lose the cantrip reroll and avoid exert, probably wouldn't changed much though
Lowers the odds of Chronos getting instant exerted by turn 2 from 1/27 to 0, which is something.
shotout to cranberry for making that zombie song

Some might even say the run back was inevitable
any run i've ever died on has been inevitable/dragon
if you rng into orange with flex it's basically basic with a green instead of a gray
Down tremendously FOR Inevitable.

gg
me when I'm jammed
I guess Wisps main dmg is pain or skeletons dmg so if you use Unite as your dmg wisps can't do much to you
