This is moving video for me as PJ is my hometown. Just got back from Port Jeff last week. Port Jefferson was an amazing place in the 80s. Still great but not the same. Loved your video. Too bad we didn’t run into you and your husband. I could have been your tour guide.😃 Billies is pretty legendary. It had a bad fire about 5 years ago. Happy it was saved.

Do you suggest this Ferry over the New London CT cross sound ferry to Orient NY? I want to hop ferries to get south of NYC traffic and break up drive from Maine. Thinking Cape May NJ ferry to Deleware as well Tks enjoying all your videos. So helpful👍
Thank you Aurora! Where do you plan on going as a final destination? Port jeff ferry puts you in the heart of long island. Bit out of the way most likely. I feel your pain during through the Tri state area can be a lot!
Myrtle Beach is end point. Just want to breakup driving. From Port Jefferson cross Verazzano head rt 9 to Cape May NJ Ferry to Lewes Delaware. Hug the coast to
Chesapeake tunnel into VA. Few towns along coast to Myrtle Beach. We drove Maine to Florida this winter the long way via Tappan Zee bridge thru Scranton to Roanoke. Returned I-95 until around DC to avoid NY. Next trip will go straight thru on I-95 North

@@auroranite wow! You sound like a power planner like me! 👍Great idea and I’m sure it will be a lot more fun than driving through traffic! I love taking ferries ⛴ and with the high price of gas it prob won’t be much more expensive either

$72 round trip to walk on?? WOW things have changed...next time if you're up for a hike or short uber ride maybe, keep walking past Billies about 2 miles up the hill and Go to Tara's Uptown PJ! Its one of the most iconic Port Jeff places to eat!!
