Thank you for the honest and excellent review of the pros and cons. One question I have is the MX history of these now legacy jets. I am sure parts are very expensive. Are they typically available to the point where owners don't have significant AOG episodes. The idiosyncrasies of the jet can be managed if the plane can be kept airworthy. What is the still air range with full fuel? This video was really worth watching.
The range is 1300 nm with adequate reserve. Unfortunately, the way the Premier was designed makes maintenance labor - intensive and complicated. Simple tasks require more labor hours then similar tasks on other jets in class. Some parts are hard to come by, but mostly parts are available. What I would pay very close attention is where you do maintenance. I.e. factory service center is not the place to go if you'd like to keep the cost under control. You need a mechanic who's very patient and preferable has experience with type. Also a "small guy" will have better access to a lot of hard to reach areas in Premier.
Max, great video. Is there Premier still experiencing parts supply issues? Also, is the Collins avionics a significant disadvantage to Garmin or Eclipse panel?
I mostly find used (serviceable / as removed / overhauled) parts for Premier to keep the cost under control. I hadn't had any issues with parts supply used or new. Collins PL21 sucks! It's old school design, without the mid for user experience or user interface. If something brakes, replacements are 2X to 10X the price of comparable Garmin or IS&S (Eclipse) unit.

My range record with Premier is 1400 nm (air = true zero wind) with 750 lbs remaining (for 60 min). It’s true downfall is reliability and maintainability. Do you fly?
Some parts specific to Premier are hard to get, but most of the parts are readily available from Textron. Premier has other issues, more significant than parts availability.
This type of aircraft that been crashed at the roadside in malaysian capitol four days ago, all the passangers on board perished including two pilots.sad news.
Premier, Cessna (small), Vision Jet Honda jet etc. etc. They are small shortish range aeroplanes that can be operated by fairly low hours private pilots within controllable risk parameters. The rest is wank.
Premier requires Mor pilot skill to operate than most other SP jets you mentioned. Not because of speed, but because of poor design. Not user friendly or intuitive.
Premier is designed for people who know how to reduce their baggage. Switches take .05 seconds to throw, so the amount of those is not a concern. Manual setups keep you proficient. I don't rely on my plane to do all the math without checking it. It's very telling how you consider some extra safety tests 'ridiculous'. One word that really shouldn't be in aviation is 'shortcuts'. The description box tells a different story than the video. Seems like another person who is actually impressed by the plane wrote the description. Your 'review' is very biased because you are comparing everything to the jet you assume is perfect.
The tests in Premier have nothing to do with safety. They are there, because of poor design and bureaucracy. Humans miss things, the easier the plane to fly the safer it is. Extra systems and extra switches are extra points of failure.

My range record with Premier is 1400 nm (air = true zero wind) with 750 lbs remaining (for 60 min). It’s true downfall is reliability and maintainability. Do you fly?
today i. malaysia this jet has crash 10people died
Yes, unfortunately...
I once heard parts are harder to get, true or false😊
Some parts specific to Premier are hard to get, but most of the parts are readily available from Textron. Premier has other issues, more significant than parts availability.
What are the other issues, do you recommend buying one?
This type of aircraft that been crashed at the roadside in malaysian capitol four days ago, all the passangers on board perished including two pilots.sad news.
Sad news indeed. Most likely it was a pilot error, unfortunately.

single pilot Saber Jet faster?
That’s true. But there are about 10 made, so it’s not really mass production.
I feel like I've flown this plane myself.
Thanks for feedback. What do you usually fly?

Not a lot of cockpit legroom/space for a 6'4" dude.
Yes. The cockpit is really tight. Eclipse has more space.
lol you're the 2nd Pilot I'm following now that flies the Premiere. Check out www.youtube.com/@gregmink as well

@@LynxNYC I was subscribed when another pilot recognized me at the FBO in Key West 😁
Max...what do I think? Somebody commented it looks like a pregnant Platypus! For the extra headroom? Any day!😊
Haha. Premier surly looks weird. What other planes do you know with windows painted on fuselage?
What is the max range at mtow
1300 nm with full tanks and 4 normal size people on board. Do you fly?
@@MaxJetRev thanks captain and yes I currently fly the chieftain. Trying to upgrade to either the merlin iii b,c, the beech premier, Piaggio Avanti, or the citation ii. I have been reading about the specs of all these birds but it seems everyone gives different performance figures.
@@TeddyLionHeart as you are I'm sure aware performance figures differ depending on conditions. The best way to compare perforce is to run sample trips in ForeFlight. If you need any help finding a right plane you may contact me at +1(917)951-8504 (WhatsApp, Telegram etc).

I'm trying to share my real world experience flying and operating those planes. What other planes would you like me to review?
Greg has been. He's made several detailed but his instrumentation is slightly different. Also think, he's prior military so he's not into a lot of fluff in his videos. He assumes most of his viewers are subscribers or at least repeat watchers of his videos and we know what's coming lol.

Malaysia:💀
It’s fairly more complicated than other similar jets. Are you from Malaysia?
in 17 August 2023 a beechcraft 390 premier 1 has 1 engine failure and then crash into elmina shah alam the jet also hit man who drive motorcycle and car and cat the private jet has 10 people on the jet
the map to
Langkawi to sultan Abdul Aziz shah airport
engine 2 failure
I from malaysia I live in selangor
search elmina plane crash
@@bloodstalk9880It's very unfortunate. Most likely the crash was a result of pilot error, poorly skilled pilot. This airplane will fly with only one engine operating beautifully, but from what I can see on videos it looks like pilot failed to maintain directional control.
the engine was explode. it was 6 minutes to landing in sultan Abdul Aziz shah airport (SZB) and in 2:42 pm it was already crash in ELMINA rest in peace to all victim
@@bloodstalk9880even if something happened to one of the engines, the airplane flys well on one engine. So most likely it is pilot error.

Fastest business jet? Not even close. The old Citation III and VII from the mid-80s to early 90s cruise at .81-.83. The Citation X cruises at .90.
You can't compare apples to oranges. It's fastest in it's class: single pilot light jets.
@@MaxJetRev That the title of his video. He did that ... not me.
@@StevieWonder737 the title had to be short. So some words had to go 😉
This model just crashed in Malaysia😢
Unfortunately. Looking at the videos it was most likely pilot error. Training is the key!
Fastest in its class. It is not the fastest business jet though.
Yes, in it's class of course 😉 Have you spotted a lot of Premiers at MCO?
The Premier 1A is NOT the fastest busniess jet.
It is fastest in it's class (single pilot light jets).

What a stupid and meaningless yardstick. .80 M is what....10miles per hour faster than the next "fast" jet? We leave LA at the same time on parallel runways and you land in Chicago maybe 2 minutes before I do. I will happily fly slower in a more comfortable and capable jet any day of the week.
