❤BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY❤ EPHESIANS 6:1-4 NIV 6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”-which is the first commandment with a promise- 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”[a] 4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
The last thing you wanted to do in our house was give Mom or Dad, an attitude at the dinner table. & If you were dumb enough to complain about the food on the table. The following day Mother would apologize for her shortcomings in meal preparation & say not to worry because your sister Mary is going to cook dinner for us tonight & show us all how it's done. Playing poker we stupidly put our Kahlúa & cream drinks on the floor. When we went to take a drink they were all empty & my dog was staggering across the living room. She passed out by the fireplace. Dogs love beer & lots of other drinks. Be careful where you put your drinks when you have pets.
The final shot of John Candy in THIS film, waving goodbye, and another shot in the final moments of Planes, Trains and Automobiles of John Candy looking lovingly at Steve Martin kissing his wife, ALWAYS makes me feel a bittersweet, melancholy feeling for the loss of John Candy at such an early and young age!! 😢❤ Can't help but shed a tear!!😢
John Candy was justs a big huggy bear of a man. I had the pleasure of seeing him at an LA Kings hockey game with his kids, and I'd look over every once in a while to see the kids laughing and a big smile on his face. We lost him way too soon, but he left us a tremendous catalog of happiness. I cannot imagine anybody not loving this thoughtful man. I always enjoy watching your true pleasure in reaction to these films. thank you for sharing.
I love John Candy. He was taken from us too soon. Another great movie he was in is Who's Harry Crumb as a bumbling detective. Hilarious! Fantastic reaction!
I was 8 in 1985. My mom worked 2 jobs, and after school, I would watch my 6 year old brother until my mom got home around 8. Us Gen X were called latch key kids because of things like that.
Sadly John Candy was taken from us only a few years after this movie. He was considered to be one of the most genuinely good people in Hollywood and was beloved by most that knew him.
The moment that broke my heart was when Buck unfolded the wedding photo. It rarely gets an emotional response from reactors. I think you are the first one. It hits home for me bc my family wants nothing to do with me. I've fallen on hard times and instead of them coming to my aide, they pretend that I don't exist. It has broken me in every way. They have made me feel like a worthless failure.
Rewatching Home Alone this year. I really liked how it had a kind of secret holiday message for people that are alone or dont want to see their families. At the end of the day, everyone deserves their own holiday- for some people, that means getting away from your family, not just doing what they want just to satisfy them. It's your day, too.
Tia didn't want to put out so Bug left ger for another girl. That was why she was crying. He was only after one thing, which is what Uncle Buck told her at the beginning.
I loved that you loved this movie. This movie is classic..funny part is the actress who played Tia..Jean Louisa Kelly...actually adored John. I think it is inferred that Bug tried getting her to sleep with him and Tia realized Buck was right. Buck didn't need to tell the parents, he realized Tia learned her lesson and realized her anger was misplaced. As father myself, sometimes your kids have to stumble and fall, but you don't need to do "I told you so" or make them feel worse. ;) For example you can tell a child a stove is hot and do not touch, but eventfully the child will touch and learn the hard way. Sometimes kids don't listen to parents' advice, but one they learn something the hard way they / we do listen.
Great reaction and your analysis of the family dynamic was excellent. Whenever I see this, or "Planes, Trains and Automobiles," I think of what the world lost with the premature deaths of John Candy and John Hughes. At any rate, GREAT reaction video!
Tia got a wake-up call, yeah Bug was interested in only one thing and when she said no, he moved immediately to his next prey and probably used the "we just broke up and I'm so sad" ploy to get an sympathy in with the new girl. John Candy could play the oblivious obnoxious guy with the heart of gold to a tee, we lost him far too soon but I know he's got the angels in stitches up there.
Great Reaction....... Such a Great Classic, Often overlooked..... RIP John Candy....... Daughter Tia is played by Jean Louisa Kelly who played in "Mr Holland's Opus" and Played Iceman's wife in "TopGun: Maverick" The director liked Macaulay Culkin in this that he decided to cast him in "Home Alone" The Girlfriend (Amy Madigan) and the youngest Daughter (Gabby Hoffman) also worked together in "Field of Dreams" which was released 3 months before this movie..... The Neighbor Marcie is played by Laurie Metcalf, who was on TV's "Rosanne" and played on "Big Bang Theory".....
I think Tia will pick up that phone and call her new best friend uncle Buck . Buck has a wisdom and a sense of humour all his own. Mom has seen this , and Buck will aways be welcome in their home to keep the laughs and flow going. That wave says everything.
1. Many say "Planes Trains and Automobiles", but I say this was his best. 2. Of course it's Chicago. This is a John Hughes film. 3. Macaulay Culkin got the "Home Alone" gig because Hughes loved him in this. 4. That's the same high school used by Hughes for "The Breakfast Club", "Weird Science" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". 5. Making a stack of pancakes that big would take A LOT of work. (and money)🤑🤑 6. Tell me you didn't enjoy this. I dare you. 7. RIP John Candy.😇
Growing up I could pick up the phone and hear another phone call between other people not at my house - it was called a party line. But yes, you could have several phones in the house and pick anyone of them up (businesses too between the office and secretary) and hear the conversation but you had to be slick because they could hear you pick it up and or hear you breathing.
Uncle Buck is a 1989 comedy film by John Hughes known for the films Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club & Weird Science Uncle Buck is a heartwarming film starring John Candy, Jean Louisa Kelly & Macaulay Culkin Uncle Buck has to look after the two children and teenager Tia who has an affair with an unreliable boy named Mug who later makes her break up and cheats on her with another girl This is discovered by Uncle Buck and Tia gets the chance to get Mug back in what looks like a game of Golf Yet Uncle Buck manages to win his heart over the family who doesn't actually like him.
17:10/I first thought that this boy was in the future television show "Still Standing", but.... I was just wrong!! They are not the same person. I need to pay more attention.
Don't know what lame high school you went to..must be age difference..but lots of good things happened at our parties in high school in the early 80s. Could drink, listen to music, interact with friends, meet new ones..some of us outlaw types got high, drunk and laid. Glad I grew up with real freedom. Lol
Lol you funny.. Buck was just being a fun uncle. 🤷🏾♂️ Nothing serious happened, so he saved her from a lashing from the parents. Kids will get it into some stuff whether parents hover or not. Best to relax on it a lil bit unless it's serious I'd say
Most dogs like beer, especially hoppy beer. One beer in a blue moon won't hurt them. That's PETA propaganda. All of my dogs from 1975 thru 2015 loved beer. I gave them one a month, tops. It's a treat. But nix to the toilet water. And don't freak at Percy being in the dryer. He wasn't put there. Dogs like the heat (it's winter in this movie) and my brother's Australian Shepherd used to crawl into their dryer after a load was taken out. They had a rule of leaving dryer door open when done or not in use so she could lay in it safely.
SUGGESTION for CALIFORNIABLEND : You love courtroom movies - You MUST watch The Verdict with Paul Newman - takes place in the 1970's/1980's when society was much different from today . Probably one of Paul Newman's Top-6 films
Buck could've dropped the kids off at school and then went to work. May have been late, but at least he would've still made it in. But if Shanice did fire him, then it's moot.
So you know how far Kobolowski tire is from the school? Shanice even said "Did you find some morals way out in the suburbs" which implies she was in the inner city and not close. And it's also a movie and not a documentary so it's a plot device, otherwise there'd be no movie or scenes with Marcie, no scene with him going to Maizie's school, etc.
the one thing I don't like or get about this movie is Buck compared himself to Bug as if he was like him when he was younger yet its hard to believe Buck was anything like that.
@@Luckydraw4me true I can see him being the life a party but remember he says this Buck: The guy's a predator and you're his prey. Tia: Really? Buck: You bet. Tia: And how would you know? Buck: When I was his age, I was a guy zooming girls like you. Pretty face, good chip on your shoulder. But I can't see Buck ever being like this it's not about age it's personality.
I love movies but don't get caught up in the actors and their lives like goes on so much in the gossip world of entertainment. That said, when John Candy died it really bothered me. By all accounts he was a righteous dude and a master of his craft.
Used to be one of my favorite movies until recently. Its actually kinda depressing. Total disfunction in the family. I remember laughing alot at this movie but as ive gotten older, not so much. Im 61 now. The ending is still good but the rest is just meh...
it's a made up family not a documentary. It's like trying to analyze the Jetsons or something. And it's not a totally dysfunctional family. It's a partially dysfunctional family otherwise there wouldn't have been any redemption.

" Do you think she hates me? ". " With a passion. "
Anyone now in their late 30s or 40s knows just how special John Candy was.

The youngest was also the daughter in “Field of Dreams”, both came out in 1989.
Gaby Hoffmann (also known for Sleepless in Seattle / Now and Then / Volcano / Transparent)!
Macaulay caulkin had a long movie career before he was even 10

yesss😍 a classic never seen until this year Macaulay in his bag with everything and such good casting with the other kids and story😍
The fact that you called landlines innovative made me lol for real!
@25:07 hahaha... the mother of all reactions!
The little girl is ALSO in Field of Dreams as the little girl in THAT movie too!! Maybe they come together as a pair of actors😮😅
Package deal😂❤
Same goes for Macaulay Culkin and John Candy in Home Alone, even though John Candy's part was small.
This is my favorite John Candy movie.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a close 2nd.
Miles and Maisy staying home waiting for Chanise gave John Hughes the idea for the Home Alone movie.
Great Reaction....... Such a Great Classic, Often overlooked.....

😂😂 thats the 70s/80s latchkey kids dear ... Lots of kids had to do this ...
The car's struts cause the car to be really bouncy. When I was a kid, my parents had a Cadillac that was very bouncy. It used to lull me to sleep 😂
Amy Madigan the actress who played Chanice was also in a movie called Streets of Fire ( a rock and role fable).
great reaction great film John Candy was an extremely talented actor
Imagine being able to pick up the phone and hear your neighbors conversation because you have a party line.

Well, as it turns out, that is one kid that you can leave home alone. :)
When they're Bowling the man with the Tan V-Neck sweater is Stevie Ray Von a guitar legend who died young in a plane crash.
The guy in the V-neck sweater (E. Roger Coswell) is played by Brian Tarantina.
Understandable mix-up, though, as he bears a strong resemblance to SRV.
@spyswatter Thanks, never knew that.
One of my all time favorite movies. Great review!

You must watch: The Blues Brothers
It's a must
You won't be disappointed
The older daughter is in another great movie called 'Mr Holland's Opus' that gets very few reactions. I am not sure why that is.
Bless you beautiful
Please pardon me if this comes off as offensive, but this is my first time seeing one of your videos and I am stunned. You are gorgeous.
My sister went through a Tia-phase. She was a witch to everyone.
Miss John Candy.

Where is your Patreon ? So i may watch the full movie reactions please.
