Hi there. I own a 2008 Murcielago LP640 Roadster orange 1of 1 with every option you can think of, all carbon fiber everywhere, carbon ceramic breaks etc etc. In the last year of ownership I accumulated a healthy amount of bills taking care of different things. To name a few, full service, all fluids flushed, replenished, a/c maintained, spark plugs, the interior buttons refinished, adding a front camera, refitting the steering column. My clutch is at about 55% with 15k miles on the odometer (egear). I live in San Diego California and drive the car about 3 times a week about 30 miles each time. Just 2 hours ago I was driving on the freeway when smoke was coming out of the engine. I took the first exit off the freeway and pulled on the side. Tow truck got me and tomorrow i m heading to the dealer . Car was leaking green fluid underneath. I am assuming radiator fluid. We will see tomorrow...

Dear John, firstly, thank you for watching my video and I hope you find the channel interesting enough to become a subscriber. Regarding your beautiful car, I'm sorry to hear you had this problem. I had the same problem occur about two weeks ago! It was the coolant hose at the front of the engine. This is covered in a poor heat resistant fabric that often splits. My mechanic who replaced the hoses with braided ones. There a three main coolant hoses that go in the Murcielago and all should be replaced. I'm not a fan of main dealers but may consider using one for my Aventador until I can find a reliable trustworthy independant. It's very common for the coolant hoses to go on the Murcielago. When the car came from the factory the heat shielding around the hoses was fine but now the cars are getting old. Let me know how you get on. Take care and please stay tuned for my burst coolant hose episode (this has happened twice and the reason it happened twice was because the mechanic fitting the hose did not put a braided hose in and also didn't heat shield protect it properly!

It’s coming up. It’s in a future video where Dan does a RWD conversion on a LP640 (also grey!). From driving the Aventador, I think the egear is brilliant on the Aventador as the egear was part of the design brief from the start. I’ve never driven an egear LP640 but when you watch the video of the owner and I doing the test drive, you’ll hear his opinion - it’s great, but you need to learn how and when to shift.

Grigio GT look forward to watching that upload when it’s done, I think it’s going to be interesting, not seen anyone else talk about it before.
