I just got my fatalis armor yesterday, and ive been debating between running tool specialist 5 and evade window 5, why do you run evade window 5, does it help get a better window for ian spirit slashes? Or is it just for roll purposes, if you see this thankyou very much!
Huge longsword player. I know I'm super late to this but Evade window is extremely comfy as it allows you to dodge most things with ease. Tool specialist though I love because it allows for constant mantle uptime. Take your pick at which sounds better. Good dodge vs. more rocksteady.

Update, been practicing lots, getting better at the ISS timings. Still have a hard time with the blast clouds sometimes though. Fastest time is down to 6;58. Still a lot of improvement to do but way better than before. I come back to this video for inspiration sometimes haha. Still can't decide if quick sheath 3 is worth it or not, the difference with special sheath is basically unnoticeable to me

Not worth to waste some time in waiting for a bar to replenish with the constant spirit slashing, for a benefit that does increase dmg for single move but waste time, Frostcraft is better for GS and Dual blades and Sword and Shield speeruns because their kits synergizes well with FC

I've got to ask, why the latent power and heat guard? You already have past 100% crit chance with agitator and if your trying to proc latent power then why bring heat guard? Great run btw.
maybe is not 100% affinity without latent power, wex 25% + Tender 25% + Agitator 20% + ABlv7 5% + Augment 10% + Expert 10% (Bc Fatalis LS have -30% afiinity) = 95%. latent power for affinity to 100% Heat guard for keep Peak perfomance, because teostra have fire aura Thankyou for watching!

Theres a set rules for TA wiki run From what i know No mantle No palico No trap No siege weapon No usage of environment ( environment trap..not sure abt ledge attack ) No item ( example bomb, flash pod..buff item is allowed ) No mods ( i think certain mods is allowed, not sure ) No heroics build I dont remember much but i hope u get the point

Evade window is for the foresight slashes, it aids you with your dodges. really really helpful!
With TA speedrun rules he cant use Mantles... then.. no benefit from tool specialist

Holy this was incredible. I'm "farming" him but each run takes like 20 minutes because i'm ass and my hits do about 1/3 this much dmg

why not frostcraft on the longsword? I feel like with how often you sheathe, the Iai spirit slashes would benefit a ton from frostcraft

how do you change directions mid air after doing the helm breaker? I always miss my helm breakers.
move your analog joystick before doing the helmbreaker
Pressing Y or triangle mid aor while changing ur camera position will adjust it as well

How did you get 45% affinity for fatalis LS? if you have max crit i think youll have only 25% where did you get the extra 20%?

why does the Iai slash does not turn the gauge from red to yellow?
I counter it with the correct timing. otherwise, the gauge will decrease to yellow. You can hear *Ting* sound when I counter it
