- Lake Compounce Bristol, Connecticut is America's oldest amusement park! There is a lot of history in this park that makes it really charming and special. BUT they also have new attractions and a lot of fun to be had for all ages. Hot day? visit Crocodile Cove, the water park inside of Lake Compounce! We also visited on the date of the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest regional qualifying round which was cool to experience and see #2 ranked eating champion Geoffrey Esper of Major League Eating. This was the first time I passed out in a park! It was scary but thankfully, the staff at Lake Compounce was awesome and really helped me out.

I grew up having lake compounded. It used to cost 5 dollars a car load for the whole day. Some of the same rides are there. There was free concerts. Beach was open. Now it's so expensive.
Hello Krystal. I had that happen to me once also. I was at Disney's Animal Kingdom. I felt woozy and sat down on a planter with a small tree in it. I blacked out and fell up against the tree apparently. Because when I came too, the Disney medical staff were shaking me awake and my back was up against the small tree! Glad you are OK and still enjoyed your time at the park.
Sorry to hear you passed out but glad you're ok. I knew someone that happened to as well. Also those hot dog eating contests give me a heart attack just watching lol

this being my home park, I am very greatful for all the rides and amazing roller coasters i personally favorite this park. Its no cedar point but it is a BOULDER DASH

Yes, they were so great!
The American Flyers ride used to be at Rye Playland, named the Flying Scooters then. Back then, the operator was stationed under the ride and manually controlled the speed. That was a favorite ride of the employees because you could get some serious air at top speed if you knew how to steer it well.
Hershey spent over 25 million on LC and just disappeared after two years . They didnt need to be successful because the company is run by a trust. Krystal, we enjoyed your Rye Playland vis . The private company which manages the place doesnt know what they are doing
Playland has had issues going back to when I worked there in the 80's-90's. Wish they would invest more in it, it should be so much more than it is. I still laughed out loud at the hate though. Nicely done.
Ahh you’re in my state! I grew up at Lake Compounce (we called it “the Lake”), so nostalgic watching this! I’m so glad you’re ok, passing out is not fun but I’m glad you had a quick recovery! Lake compounce started going down hill when they closed the chairlift up the mountain. Went last summer for the water park and half the slides were closed. The water was very dirty and park was understaffed.
Lake compounce was actually the first time I passed out from the heat as a younger teen. I was in line for a water slide with my uncle and just blacked out

@@TheKrystalPalace some nice people got me water and then we just left early. It was my first hint that I had a thyroid disorder because I was so intolerant to the heat!

few groups make carousels in the traditional style. Bristol ct has a carousel museum that is very interesting if you go back. Glad you were well taken care of thanks for sharing everything.

We just started going here with my sons a few years ago and it's one of their favorite places. Water at the waterpark is always freezing but all in all it's a well rounded day

You should if you haven’t yet check out there sister park, my home park Kennywood. It is another very historic park that is very well taken care of with a perfect mix of old and classic attractions and new modern day thrills. It is located in Pittsburgh P.A. And has lots of amazing coasters and all kinds of cool rides

Palace entertainment owns the waterpark I have near me in NC, Wet 'n Wild! And visiting 2 parks for us this weekend owned by palace...Idlewild and Kennywood!
Love my home park Lake Compounce it's a nice little amusement park to visit and Boulder Dash (although a bit rough) is one of my favorite wooden roller coasters! Sorry about your medical emergency but glad you're ok. Coincidently the same thing happened to my cousin there a few years ago she passed out from dehydration waiting in line for Boulder Dash and they actually had to close the ride down because other people were passing out from heat exhaustion since it was very hot that day. It's a scary situation when that happens that's why you gotta drink plenty of fluids.

I thought the pass-out was going to cut the vlog short. The door edit explains it all. Glad you're ok. You gave us quite a scare Krystal. I wouldn't do well with the humidity or if I didn't have enough fluids. I've never passed out before, but I have felt woozy due to the heat and lack of nutrition. This is coming from someone with an intense medical history.

Chance is one( if not the only ) who makes new carousels to answer your question. The Carousel Works and Fabricon are out of business but both made beautiful carousels. Carousel Works made most of the zoos machines . Bronx, Miami and Bridgeports Beardsly are a few

Unfortunately, by the time someone starts to feel the effects of dehydration, you're already dehydrated. Get out of the sun and make sure your fluids have electrolytes in them. You may want to talk to your doctor (if you've got one) if you've had a history of passing out. Best of luck, Palaces! Great vid!

As a New Englander, I've been there a few times. It's a nice place to visit. Saw Stevie Nicks there one time. Did you ever go during Halloween season? They used to have a walkthrough graveyard fright fest at night. It was fun. Not sure if they still do it, but if you haven't, check it out if you can. So glad you're OK.

What happend did you had a diagnosis what happend the krystal palace?
I pray to you and your family hope you’re doing alright the krystal palace and hope you’re healed god Jesus and the Holy Spirit is right there and as long you trust god Jesus and the Holy Spirit and as long you accept him into your heart just pray and everytime if you’re going through something pray is the best thing you can do.
Palace has not done good things for the park. It was at its best when Kennywood entertainment owned the park. Then Palace bought Kennywood and acquired Lake Compounce with it...and its all been downhill
since
Like with sports, you need to drink plenty of water the day before to help yourself not get dehydrated
