It still feels weird watching the Lions play and NOT expecting them to do something to break their fans’ hearts. Last year changed my perception as a Lions fan of almost 4 decades. Now when I watch them I’m surprised when the games are close! They are scary when everyone’s healthy. I can’t wait to see this latest version of the team. Secondary is gonna feast, watch.
Cornerback Davis was great for the Bucs, and I was very high on him. He hits hard, doesn't miss tackles, and, best of all, he creates turnovers WHEN HE IS HEALTHY. I'm too lazy to do research, unlike our Football Analyst friend here, so I don't know how many games or partial games he missed with the Bucs. But it wasn't zero! He could be a monster for the Lions when he's on the field.

3:44 Just watched this play from the NFC championship again. Cam Sutton gets stiff armed to the turf, kind of lays there, gets up and jogs behind the play. Jack Campbell on first pursuit flies out of nowhere like a missile but misses, sliding past the white. CJ wraps and falls off, then lays on ground, kind of gets up. Jack Campbell pops up as fast as he can and sprints back into the play, past CJ and Cam again, and joins in to keep Mccaffery out of the end zone. Great hustle and lack of quit by Campbell. I'm not mad about Cam and CJ finding work elsewhere.

The reason they lost to the 49's falls completely on Aaron Glenns shoulders. The whole first half the Lions defense kept them in front of them the whole second half the Lions defense was chacing them.

I am thinking of picking either the Lions or the Packers as my NFC champion for the 2024 season. I think the Packers have a higher possible ceiling at QB, but I think the Lions have more "sure things" at the skill positions. However, I do see a possible caution point with the Lions. If Jameson Williams doesn't develop as expected, then they might be a little thin at wide receiver. Should that happen, I can see them being in the market for receiver help at the trade deadline.
The improvements they made on the defensive line are secondary will give them a much improved pass defense. The offense has weapons everywhere and this is Jameson Williams first full training camp.
Great stuff. God, I love our guys. I just wish TWalk was still here. But saying Williams looks/seems faster means that what ever his trial was, his hurdle(I dont know the guy), hes confronted that. Singled that thing out and attacked it, head on. Hes moving at full speed physically and mentally, reaping the benefit of fluidity. Bruce Lee would be proud.
1. I had rakestraw/ mckinstry mocked to the lions at the end of round 1 also, I was pumped about the thought of landing either one, only because I had Terrion Arnold never making it out of the top 10. 2. If we don’t have (3) 1000 yard receivers, it’s only because we won’t be playing in many close games, so we won’t need to throw as much. I expect 3,000 team rushing yards tho

When was the Last time you could Legitimately Say the Lions were in Superbowl Conversation? Even i knew as a kid you couldn't pay me to be Lions fan. People have spent entire lifetimes with the Lions not making an NFC championship game
For me, CJ Gardner Johnson had a big mouth. Demanding the fan base do this and that, wear ski masks, get everyone except me hyped up and then not deliver anything whatsoever. He wrote a bunch of checks he couldn’t cash. That’s why I need to see some type of performance delivered before being overly excited about gaining new players to the team. There has also been formerly successful veteran players come to the team, not have a big role, and then have a short stay. I need to see some pre-season action and a couple of the games in regular seasons before I make any decisions.
How i feel about davis. Davis came in with glasses on in doors saying ima.lock guys down bla bla bla....bro ur not dion 2.0 shhhush. But then at the end he contradicts himself and says I like my actions to show what kind of player I am not my talk😂 8 minutes ago when you started that's all you did was talk. Actions speak louder than words let's see what Davis does
Say what you want about the Lions defense but if they can stop the run that good then it means they make opposing offenses one dimensional.. and if they are throwing the ball most of the time then they are always facing an Aiden Hutchington pass rush and there's higher risk of turning the ball over or making mistakes.
As long as Goff is the QB this team will be held back in the playoffs. That doesn't mean they can't make the Super Bowl, with as wide open as the NFC is, or potentially even win it. But there's at least 6 QBs I'll take in a big game on the AFC side over Goff without question because they've stepped up and won their team playoff games. I just don't see him putting them over the top to win a playoff game when it matters and to win it all you have to have that in this era. All those games last year Melifonwu mentioned that they lost that were close are the types of games a top QB would put them over the top. Goff just isn't capable of doing that consistently enough for them to win it all.
@@THATLIGHTWORK oh heck yeah he has. Everyone was doubting the Gibbs and laporta and Campbell pick and I was just sitting back laughing like cmon guys he doesn’t miss for a reason

Brad Holmes has found Studs in all rounds in all of his drafts. Dj reader is going to make this d line fierce. We will have the #1 run defense. James Houston will be back and in on passing downs. Paschal dropped down to 250lbs and this will be his first season coming in fully healthy. Alim will get double digit sacks. Cambell will take a huge step and play mike this year. Reader will open up the gaps for our lbs. This Defense will be top 10 book it.

They've been the most unfortunate unmanaged franchise since the ford family... Things have changed... But let's not drink the Kool-Aid.... I honestly think the Lions are taking another step forward and going to the Super Bowl this year. It just feels like this is their window and time in the NFC.
@thomaswatkins3686 You know you can speak without trying to replicate what you think others sounds cool right? Like a person with their own thoughts and modes of expression instead of a branching tree of automated replies like a robot. Your life is sad and you make me sad.
I honestly feel a lot is made of the "1st place schedule" but when you get down to it the difference in the Lions' schedule vs the rest of the division is 3 teams. That's it. And frankly if I'm Detroit I'd rather be playing Tampa than NO or Atlanta this year. The same argument could be made for wanting Dallas over Philly. Personally I think GB has the harder schedule even though Detroit's is the "1st place schedule".
Although the Lions played a good 1st half in the NFC Championship Game, they lost the 3rd quarter by 17! On the play mentioned about the 49ers great catch, if he dropped the ball they still would have gained almost the same yardage on the same play due to pass interference. The Lions were not a FG away from going to the Super Bowl. They trailed by 10 with under 4 minutes, so S.F. traded giving up a Touchdown for time off the clock to win the game! The lions may go to the Super Bowl, but Green Bay was closer to beating S.F. in their game leading in the 4th quarter! There playoff win vs Dallas was more dominant than each of Detroit's wins, and it was on the road. After losing early in the year at home vs Detroit, they returned the favor and won at Detroit..... It may be a competitive division
FYI there was no DPI on that play. The flag was picked up, not declined. If there's DPI and the ball is caught, the referee still announces the penalty and that it's declined.
How far do you think the Lions go this year? 🤔

The improvements they made on the defensive line are secondary will give them a much improved pass defense. The offense has weapons everywhere and this is Jameson Williams first full training camp.
Imp the lions are the best team in the league right now
As a lions fan I hope so
We gotta see Detroit in the big game this year. Incredible team and turn around has been crazy.
I love Jared Goff
I love that you love Goff. 🦁
Raiders fan. But I loved watching the lions last year. They had some good games!
3 1000 wr whaaaat st 1000 check yes jamo no 800 so if jamo dont have 1000 hows are 3rd wr dpj hinna have 1000. This isnt madden this is real life. I love the idea but not realisyic
@@Hesnotavalabe05 st.brown laporta and jamo
They're not getting 3,000 rushing yards 😂 2500 would be insane. 2300 is realistic. 2300 is 135/game
The running back name that start with a v gone be a beast don't tell nobody detroit vs everybody 🙏🙏
I can see Iffy wearing the C on his jersey sometime soon. He and Branch were the only two in the 2ndary that i had any confidence last year.
So dope you landed the interview
Important point. Let’s watch how well Holmes does - here I. The D we believe. He’s a genius and it’s a total collaboration with Campbell.
Actions speak louder than words let's see what Davis does
@@Hesnotavalabe05 He caught himself, simple as.
Dude u got iffy on as a Vikings fan?!?! Mad respect
Real recognizes real talent and that's the Detroit Lions and everything to do about them
@@Hesnotavalabe05fr fr, I’m still getting used to drafting guys that start and contribute 🤣, Brad Holmes has blessed us
@@DannyG_. Holmes showed last year we really dont need to worry about draft picks.
@@THATLIGHTWORK oh heck yeah he has. Everyone was doubting the Gibbs and laporta and Campbell pick and I was just sitting back laughing like cmon guys he doesn’t miss for a reason
Iffy is a freaking BEAST. That six or seven game stretch to end the season plus the playoffs was crazy, bro went insane. I’m excited to see him play a full season with this attitude and production!
Been waiting for this one. Thanks Baby Moore
Love your videos bro keep it up
Nicely suprised ! Good Read & Energy, get a LIONS Jersey Up Bro.
The fact that nobody talking about Robinson the slot from raiders is crazy he really good
Why is no one talking avout James Houston
Best forgotten kept secret weapon SHHH
@@Hesnotavalabe05 I didnt hear you guys talking about anything, but if I had, Id just say 'word' and disappear into the shadows.
I believe the moment that the Detroit Lions were a good team was the game two days ago against the Buffalo Bills and they were struggling to beat us and even though we lost, I knew we had arrived
You are the perfect example of what HATERS FEEEEAARR to do with the Lions.. it doesn't matter the platform..
Haters hate to do their full homework on the Lions because they'll discover everything in this video and it'll discourage them.. and this is what scares them..
and THEY KNOW IT!.. know matter how much they cap.. PERRIODTT..😤🦁🦁🦁🔥🔥🔥
How is it hating when certain teams have certain reputations? Where people that said the clippers wouldn't do anything in the playoffs haters? Or where they right based on their history?
@@sergioalvarez1919 huh??.. what the hell are you talking about??! 😂.. listen it's like a math equation.. add up the numbers and you're going to come up with the correct number every time if you're doing it right.. if you study your homework on the Lions and you've been a sports fan of any sports, you can easily see where this team is going.. PERRIODTT.. the only students of the game that have a problem with this are the ones that are thinking too hard about it... Just follow the steps logically and it will all make sense..
@thewizardofoz511 Put it this way. Dream teams have exited before only for it to end up being nightmares. And teams with a losing history tend to struggle to lose those losing tendencies. 1 year of success doesn't change that. Numbers don't mean squat
@@sergioalvarez1919 see but your logic doesn't make sense.. I'm not going to deny a company if I knew a whole new management staff took over .. and what happens when the people you hired don't know how to lose??.. like they literally don't know how you would have to give them a lesson on it 😂.. stay ignorant in life, get burnt in the process.. .. I'm starting to think that the Lions did as good as they did because people was sleeping on them and continue to do so.. it bodes well for a team like that.. I've never seen a team in all of sports respond to hate the way that Detroit Lions team does.. idk, it's weird.. that's how I know they're going to be okay.. not going to lie 2 days after the lines were eliminated from the 49ers I really didn't see any hate on them.. and I felt like I was the only one starting to get concerned.. but then it ramped up a few days after that and then that's what gave me confidence that I knew this team would be all right because I'm going to say brown and Dan Campbell literally uses this and spread this type of information in the locker room.. something about this team that seems like they always play like they got an attitude against you or they're pissed off or something.. idk, it's different than like how the Chiefs play or whatnot.. or the Eagles or the Ravens.. like those are good teams but when you play the Lions they always seem like they're just overly pissed hitting extra hard.. if you know anything about sports you see exactly where this team is going..
Stay ignorant, get burnt 🔥

We all have come to terms that 3rd round picks for Holmes are straight up trade bait.
Okay... 57 year old Detroit Lions fan my whole life.... Been there done that we lost in the championship game before is this organization and team different... Yes... They've been the most unfortunate unmanaged franchise since the ford family... Things have changed... But let's not drink the Kool-Aid.... Okay the Lions need a little luck to make it to the super bowl no matter what God bless them
I honestly think the Lions are taking another step forward and going to the Super Bowl this year. It just feels like this is their window and time in the NFC.
I want to see a Superbowl between two teams that have never been there. My two favorites for said game would be the Lions and the Browns.
Jack Campbell and Derrick Barnes please. Anzalone is nice but too slow
LET'S GO LIONS 🦁
Loaded with studs. Go lions!
HELL YEAH WE ARE BABY
They can go far as fate let's them, it's a tough season but they could easily go deep in the playoffs and make the bowl. Toss of the coin.
What is “the bowl”? I’ve never heard an educated fan call it a “bowl”. Just fans who are shortening a name for slang purposes.
@thomaswatkins3686 You know you can speak without trying to replicate what you think others sounds cool right? Like a person with their own thoughts and modes of expression instead of a branching tree of automated replies like a robot. Your life is sad and you make me sad.
@@thomaswatkins3686 also, dork.
Davis is a solid corner.
He thought iffy was gonna beat him up if he didn’t specify that the safeties weren’t the issue
i liked the interview part.
I can’t wait til the Lions and Chargers play each other in the Super Bowl in a couple years
Someone better tell SF
