    Оооочень мелодичный и атмосферный сет! Прошло почти 10 лет, а до сих частенько переслушиваю на пару с лайвом в Fulldozer :)
    P.S. Спасибо за крутой саундтрек к жизни 🤘🏻

    Thanks! Everything is made on Monomachine mk2, and drums too. Oktatrack only for reverb and the compressor.

      Hey Nicholas, i´m watching your videos for many years and love your style! I always wanted a monomachine, but they are rare and expensive. I tested the digitone at an event (superbooth) and liked it, but i could feel a very different character in the overall sound. I´m looking for sounds which sit nicely in the mix, like yours. Have you used the digitone as a drummachine? Thank you, best regards!

    • @NicholasLem
      @NicholasLem  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Raumweiter Hi! Thank you very much). I don't have a Digitone. Digitone is a very good tool, but it has (you're right) a completely different character of the sound, as well as features and interface. These synthesizers have little in common....only FM, and a sequencer. th-cam.com/video/2TX7YYsmNh4/w-d-xo.html

      @@NicholasLem i have to thank YOU for responding! For example in this video:
      th-cam.com/video/h27sRhOVaw0/w-d-xo.html
      you are using the analog four also for drum design and percussive basses or are those samples of the octatrack? They sound very warm and punchy, i love your drum design. Cheers,

    • @NicholasLem
      @NicholasLem  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Raumweiter All the sounds you hear are from Analog Four, Octatrack was used just to add some FX processing (for example a reverb). The complete mix was compressed by Elysia Xpressor (placed below the units).

    What an epic performance, thanks so much for sharing! Truthfully, the Monomachine wasn't on my radar at all until the recent Elektron price drops.......this video instantly sold me. Warm, cold, harsh, sweet, trippy, this performance has it all and shows the wide array of sounds this beast is capable of. I've only had my Monomachine for a few days and already I'm in love. Thanks again and fantastic work!

    Волшебство!
    Коля - необыкновенно талантливый, музыкально одарённый представитель человечества!
    Космические звуко-образы, аккуратно подобранные звуковые волны, предельно заполненные, яркие гармонии и их структурные переплетения, необычайно глубокие, тревожные, и вместе с тем лёгкие, растворённые в пространстве реверберации текстуры - такими тезисами и эпитетами хочется описывать услышанное в исполнении Николая. Всё это наполняет слух и сердце до краёв! Это Волшебство не хочется останавливать - пусть оно длится бесконечно!
    В умелых руках Коли, как мне кажется, заиграет даже холодный кусок гранита - он оживёт и наполнится гармонией. Ну, а если это инструмент от Elektron, то шансов уйти от погружения и растворения в волшебной Музыке Николая не останется ни у кого!.
    Храни и оберегай его, Создатель!

    Incredible and inspiring electronic music.Was just about to fall asleep, and I have another 30 minutes to listen. May be picking up one of these tomorrow if all goes well. Owned one of these back in 2004, and was not dedicated or patient enough (pretty much what any musical instrument requires). While the MnM has some technical chops, there are no easy shortcuts to creating something like Lem has here. Very very cool. Love the percussion, and the deep soundscapes. And this is 6 note polyphonic instrument! thanks for sharing/creating

    This was one of the videos that convinced me to get a Monomachine two years ago, and it just sounded so daunting and complex since all I had experience to prior was an OP-1 and Electribe EMX. I haven't watched this video since, but instead of just listening to it I can hear each track / engine and I'm hearing new details (or details I've forgotten :P ) that add a whole new appreciation for what you've done. Great work!

    The side panels as I was told by Nicholas - are custom made. They are made of aliminium panels, that had been laser-cut. Then they were painted with car enamel. There are also rubber feet at the bottom. Nicholas had post about it at his FB page..

Wondering if price difference/features warrants investing in the AR over the Digitakt. I want a machine I can easily improvise with - as I start performing again. Price is double... any immediate thoughts? No rush - but appreciated.
