The concert of my Lifetime and believe you me I have seen them all from Beatles upwards. I am 62 years old and have enjoyed MY Musical Trip - But this show was the Concert of My Lifetime. Two Genius' on Stage
A long time ago, they both had a hit song called "You've Got a Friend". The original "You Can Close Your Eyes" had Graham Nash singing behind him. Carole followed his lead and did GREAT for a song I'm sure she did not expect to sing that night/day! I'd just does not get any better for those of us who lived and loved during the '70s.
Thanks for posting these. We were at Saturday's show. Came in from Philadelphia. First time at the Bowl. What an incredible place! Great show! Sat in first row Garden Box.
ive seen james a few times over the years; saw carole in central park free concert she gave, i think it was in 1972. the show in fort lauderdale was absolutely breathtaking and amazing. if you can get tickets, go - you will never see a show like this again. i feel sorry for all the absolute crap that is called music today.
I saw james and carley on nantucket in 1989 singing in a gazebo in a simple park when I was there. at first I thought it was just music out of speaker then surprise there they were.

They closed with the same number last night in Nashville. Wonderful, elegiac, time-annihilating...
Wow.
there is so much love between them. He may have sung it with Carly years ago, but it was made for these tow to sing!

To jtk921: It happens to this woman too-every time I hear it :)
What is it about this song that makes a grown man get a lump in his throat and want to cry?

I believe you misunderstood paulfradin's comment. He was praising James and Carole.
