Carol looks straight at James. She is singing this to him. The look in her eyes, the smile gives an understanding that is completely validated with the song. The soul of the song is honored. SHEESH…. This tugs on my heartstrings. God has blessed this, without a doubt. Thank you Carole and James…. From East Tennessee

I wish I could write a lyric like that. 'Tonight with words unspoken, you say that I'm the only one, but will my heart be broken, when the night meets the morning sun?' God, it's so perfect Goffin and King - genius

Here on TH-cam we can see Carole and James in 1971 and in 2011. After more than 40 years they still love performing and they still sound wonderful, their voices, the piano and guitar. So may greats have left us and I am so happy that they are still here. I loved the Troubadour Reunion Tour. Thanks to all who performed and to all who made it happen. For those of you who never knew the seventies, please enjoy this part of true history.. We sang from the heart, strings and keyboards and voice and not much more.. Some songs take you to a place and time, this is a classic I hope to be listening to for all of my life. Close your eyes and I know exactly where I was and what I was wearing and thinking and caring about.. I hope everyone has a time in place and someway to remember it.. Long live the 70 s and everything that comprised that..

Agreed. King has said before that she doesn't warm up her voice, as she should. I have seen her five times, and each time she closed in stronger voice than she started. Taylor has been blessed with one of the smoothest voices I have heard. The sound quality on the video is lacking, but thankful I got to see and hear this.
