One technical feature for 2022 that was not identified is the addition below the radio of the Auto Start/Stop on-off switch. This is much needed feature for those of us who spend our lives in stop and go traffic. In addition, we have Equinox LS AWD models with the 1.5 turbo/6 speed automatic and they are reliable, fairly quiet, and good on gas.
There was a review from a major publication that said EXACTLY that. Can't remember if it was Motor Trend or Road and Track, but it came in dead last in a comparison test and they basically said this wasn't built to be owned, but made to be a rental car.
IMO, you can rent much better cars than this one. It's not the worst rental though, there are many rentals that are worse, but the Equinox comes close.

Like the 2.7t could be a $1600 upgrade over the base and have that engine available in all trim models, the body style can stay the same just add those engines. I'd so buy one if chevy did that.

I decided on the '22 Premier 😍 Absolutely in love with it. Mine has the nice two tone black and maple sugar color interior! It's comfy, nice to drive for me, and great car!

I’m probably going to buy this. Long story short I’m generally not a GM fan but I need a new car and my FIL retired from GM so, discount. I just can’t get a Subaru or a Toyota (which are better cars) as affordable as this and, it’s good enough. A hybrid option would be great but that’s a year or two out so, basically this is a placeholder for that. I drive 20 miles each way to work, mostly backroads and I’m in MI so AWD makes sense. I’m leaning towards the RS, would be LT but a few better features are worth it I think.
The interior of the premier model is lovely but the lower trims are so disappointing. If they just applied that interior across the lineup I think it would help this a lot.

Decontent Special. My 2018Equinox LT has the Diesel engine, It came almost loaded to the Premier level except the leather seating which I don't like. I mean take the rear push button outside lock release. No electric rear hatch release make the bumper look cheaper.
Sometimes you just want a reliable vehicle that gets the job done with little fuss and muss. This vanillia crossover fits the bill. The compact SUV segment is saturated with uninspiring options across the board. Comparing them is irrelevant. It doesn't really matter what you chose as they are ALL just appliances, no better than a washing machine.
Decent refresh, but I don't understand GMs logic. Yes, things have to be kept at a certain price, but why refresh this only to keep incandescent turn signals when the class is moving to partial or full LED?(Mazda and Honda have had them for over 5 years now, which helps to keep old products looking fresher longer) Even in this class, buyers are demanding better execution of interiors, like the Mitsu Outlander/Nissan Rogue, Mazda CX5, Volkswagen Tiguan, etc. GM proved they can add interior enhancements like on their fullsize trucks(yes, higher profit products, but still). I just think the Blazer, Traverse, and Equinox are not priority for GM, but Equinox and Terrains(especially) can cost as much as top-range RAV4s and CRVs.
I bought a 2006 Chevy Equinox from our company last June. It has a V6 and is still a kick to drive. For a 16-year-old car, it still is a great car with lots of room. The new one looks good if you can keep the price and your expectations down.
Other than it being a family vehicle is it better than the Rav4 . I'm a 36 year old single man with 0 kids so no need for a family vehicle for me 🤷🏿♂️
Cloth seats or leather? Why not just move to a soft alternative leather like Toyota and Tesla? It’s way more comfortable and durable. This car is also loaded with hard plastic.

I own a 2019 chevy colorado and it has not failed me like everyone says. I don't know about equinox but sure looks promising.
I was intrigued at first, by the exterior, but was very disappointed with the interior. I'd step up to a Mazda CX-5.

Not terribly larger, but definitely worth the few grand more if you must. The 3.6/9spd is pretty smooth.
