Yeah nothing packs like residential garbage in a rear loader. I've seen bricks so tight that you can see the channels that the blade rides in moulded into the load.
Good to see tater falls making another appearance. Great video--nothing like soggy garbage to compact into a solid bricks. I bet you had fun running the loader into it!!
Cool I love garbage trucks all the time when I went to the baltimore county central acceptance facility in Cockeysville when I saw gerber's trucks from cockeysville maryland.
New subscriber. Seen your short of the potatos making a mess. Had some questions but the comments kinda answered them. An open top semi make sence. I see them pull out of the transfer station here. I always thought it was compacted in from the end. Cant see the top from ground level. Lol. Now the juices/ mystery liquids, is that open top sealed or is the juices collected somehow?? Cheers from Wisconsin.
Hey, thanks for the sub! So with that liquid the trailers are supposed to be sealed. But as they get more wear on them, the seal isn’t as effective so the TS operators will try to create a couple of dams of garbage in the trailer so when the liquid gets dumped in, it is sealed by the garbage dams. Thanks for watching!
That’s a smaller transfer station, is it for a city or a county, I work and drive for the sanitation department in my city and we have 10 lanes in our transfer station so we use 7 or them fro our trucks at a time and the other 3 can be used by the residents who would like to bring bulk items or items we don’t pick up all the time ; like Christmas trees.
At this transfer station, most of the trucks unload into what appears to be long trailers. When the trucks have sloppy or very watery loads, where does the liquid go?
Same question, but looking for a serious answer... I assume the larger bin they dump into is being swapped out but I know nothing about transfer stations...
@@billymacktexasdetective5827 yeah, that’s exactly the reason why. The TS operator will have the drivers dump on the floor. If the load that is in their garbage truck will be too much for the trailer that is in the hole. Thanks for watching!
So each state has incinerators where they burn the trash. When the small trucks dump they are dumping into a larger truck so they can transport it to the incinerator
@@bigscout1584nope , there aren't any trash incinerators here in the US...the trash that is dropped off at a transfer station is taken by truck to a landfill somewhere far away from where it originally was.
some of those trucks are letting go a lot of excess water with the garbage and That smell would be like a bunch of rotten dead animals all together you can just imagine
Yes sir. It’s a 53 foot open top trailer. after it gets filled with about 55 to 62,000 pounds of garbage it will get transported to the landfill to be dumped. Thanks for watching.

2024 we need some ALL THINGS DOPE merch great video as always
I know what you mean!
Just found the channel. Watched like 4 videos now but where’s it all go after it’s dumped? Does it end up in an incinerator
Why do some dump in the hole and others in the floor
Because some drivers are to much of an Idiot to dump in the hole

@billymacktexasdetective5827 , you are right, a swap or they are checking the percentage of recycle.
@AllThingsDope. thanks for the reply I didn't think about that
Great video does anyone check what is being tipped off before it goes to the pit?
I don’t know why but I’m just so curious what the pink object hanging at 7:38 is.
Where is all this garbage going to? Do they incinerate the trash?
so what happened all that Garbage after that???
The garbage lands in this big trailer under the pit than it is attached to a tractor and hauled off to a landfill
