Liked the New Way "rotopac"/Peterbilt 520 full-automated sideloader. That 25 yard New Way Cobra Magnum rear-loader seems to be a regular there & always brings in a huge, packed load.
Drove truck, got a job hauling from Tucson to a land fill from a transfer station. When I got to the landfill it was it was so massive, I had no idea it even existed. I do not remember anymore where by Casa Grande somewhere. Very depressing to see so much trash. Could only think how people did these jobs were not overcome by how bleak (cheerless) modern man is. Hauled tires out of Kingman and Laughlin to a Asbestos landfill in Quartzite. California shipped all its asbestos to it. It was so depressing to see it. No way could I have done that for long term. Just do not have that ability to not see the harm and not be effected by it. Made me hate plastic and yet I can not get away from it. I do not have to answers but I know what we are doing is wrong. I watch these every now and then over the years to remember what an awful shame how much we waste. I always said back then and still do, trash is the future. In the hope that we find a way, a need for all that trash and go back to mine it out of the earth, reusing it. I like these videos but they still depress me. Anyway, Christ is King and I pray you all find Him, know Him, come to acknowledge the whole Truth. One Way, Repent and make straight the Way of the Lord.
From my layman’s perspective The potatoes and food waste must at least be somewhat good for the landfill. More biomass that can actually be broken down unlike a lot of the papers and plastics.
Yea it’s a 53’ open top trailer in a tunnel. It gets full up with about 55-62,000 pounds of trash then gets transported to a landfill to be dumped. Thanks for watching
The second time stamp you added, is definitely not going to be compost. Basically a construction site rents a dumpster to put their garbage and wood in. When it’s done, a truck will pick it up and bring it to the landfill. What you saw was wood chips. But that only goes for the dumpster trucks really.
You would think they would have a place they can send that stuff for animal feed or spread it back onto fields. In Las Vegas, there is a pig farm just outside the city that takes in the food scraps from the hotels and turns it into pig food. (just think about the pigs eating sausage, pork chops, ham, etc :) )

That potato slop should really go to a compost facility. That's about as good as it gets for compost feedstock.
It really should. I have ask about that but the only reason I got was because there is too much plastic and other non compostable waste included.

Our recycling systems are market based. We used to send our recycling to China, but they no longer accept it. So recycling is dying here.
