6:05 that view is why I get excited when I ride 65 North
Nice ride along interstate 65 north in Indianapolis in
Great drive on interstate 65 in Indianapolis! Be sure to stop by West Lafayette if you have the chance! The I 465 highway is also a good starting point as well. This highway sure has changed a lot and it has been 20 years since we moved to CT from Indiana. Those power lines on that highway are also why I enjoy that state. My former elementary school teacher lives in zionsville not too far from Marion county
465 was very small 20 years ago lol, I remember it being bumpy and 3 lanes each side. Now it’s very smooth and like 4-5 lanes each side. I-65 was a shit highway to drive on until it got repaved 4-5 years ago.
Indianapolis has a lot of good freeways which don't seem to get overwhelmed with traffic even on peak times except for sections of 465. This in spite of the fact that it is situated at the crossroads of three interstates.
it helps that literally every highway BUT I-65 and I-70 is put on I-465 ..... including I-69, I-74, and every US highway (31, 36, 40, 52, and 421)
Well, that is very true. I-465 does seem to take the brunt of traffic. @@dhinton1
@@dhinton1Us 52 is lafeyette road, and Us 40 is washington street lol, US 36 is rockville road and pendleton, US 31 is meridian street. So not really.
They all are on I-465
Not completely done, but getting close. I imagine INDot has probably (or will soon) have requests or plans to add the two lanes between I-465 and 865 to make it six lanes through to Chicago, and maybe a ramp to eastbound I-865 as that area continues to grow.
I was wondering what the Intestate 65 / 70 project looked like now after being closed for construction for so long. Luckily Indianapolis had Interstate 465 to go around the city.
Though it's no longer elevated, 65 still has the 40 mph left curve.
Man Indianapolis i think my sisters friend lives near there
There's pavement sounds like Florida pavement
I don't know if you feel the same but the freeway network of Indianapolis just feels so dull for a city/metro its size. Though I think its downtown is pretty okay.
It's definitely boring to me.
You should see I-465, It’s huge, I-65 rarely has traffic through the city so there’s no need to make it super huge.
Quaint little city. 😁
Many many times
small compared to Atlanta
I went to Chicago 6 years ago via I65, the road is horrible only two lanes of traffic. two weeks ago I travelled on I65 to Chicago again, In 6 years The state of Indiana hasen't done anything to Improve I65, It's still only two lanes, They close down one lane at night for minor road work, so for 20 miles it's one lane trafffic, Indiana sucks.
There is no need for an extra lane lmao, hardly any traffic plus more road is expensive. Indiana already made 3 lanes of traffic from the lowell exit all like 30 miles into I-94
WRONG !@@aimxdy8680
Tied with Oklahoma City as the worst city in the country!
