Orange wine is very aromatic and interesting. I am glad that the world is getting back to ancient traditions in wine making! I do think there is a lot of wisdom to be found there :]

Thank you SO much for reviewing an orange wine from Bulgaria, my home land!!! Dimyat is an amazing aromatic wine, and yes, it is widely planted throughout the country. It has floral aromas and high acidity, plus the fun bonus of managing to grow pretty much everywhere. Cheers!

I made my way into the wine world because of Orange wines. I felt that if I could learn this type of wine I could then understand Reds and whites, or at least I could try to. Orange wine was a limited market to understand. Wow has it been an adventure since. Just finished my WSET two and maybe going for level three. Thank you for your amazing Channel it helped me prepare for my WSET exam and you present wine in an easy approachable fashion. My favourite Orange wines are Ageno and Radicon. Would love some day to taste a Gravner (the guy who is renowned for starting the Orange wine movement.....he kinda taught a lot of other producers including Radicon) Thank you for this Orange wine summary, there are still many people that know little about the style. One aroma that is often present is a medicinal aroma or as some people call it a elastoplast smell. It is not unpleasant like it sounds but does appear in many styles. These aromas might be part of the tea family that you mention.

Tried one yesterday and realized why I was very upset, some time ago, on sommelier at a bulgarian restaurant for bringing me this over maturated /barricaded chardonnay. Did not know, a that time, what orange wine was. Now I do, and it would not be my first go to style of wine :)

Nice, I quite enjoy your videos! I would suggest you to try a traditional Georgian qvevri wine, if you haven't, they're quite different from any other wines. If you have an opportunity to get your hands on any Château Mukhrani wines I would also be interested to see what you think about them.
Cheers and keep up the great job!

@@TheGrapeExplorer Also I like your content, no worries. I am just a wine lover who lives in Georgia. While of course, the Georgians don't use the word amber in their own language while describing the wine, they have adopted the word amber when describing it in English, as opposed to orange. For me, it is weird to hear it describe as orange, and I cringe a bit because I think of it being orange in taste, like the fruit.
