The gems of Sufi music world, Padmashree Ustad Puranchand Wadali and Ustad Pyarelal Wadali were born into the fifth generation of a musical family. Before entirely delving into the world of Sufi music, Wadali brothers experience the most unexpected of professions. After the death of Ustad Pyarelal Wadali, Lakhwinder Wadali took his place. They believe that through music one can truly feel the presence of the Almighty, thus they deny doing any business by their music. Being consistent to that belief they have very few recordings on their banner. Their performances take their audience to transcendence. Wadali Brother’s performance on Dhaka International FolkFest 2018 gave the audience of Bangladesh experience that transcends to the Almighty.
Dhaka International FolkFest is all about the celebration of music. This festival always brings the root of music and the fourth edition of the festival was no different.

I had the rare opportunity to meet both the Wadali brothers in person on a flight during Diwali 2017. I felt their divine grace . Unfortunately Pyarelalji passed away within a few days after that performance. May his soul rest in peace.

The qalandar who is called Bo Ali is another qalandar. Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was from Central Asia and was ordered to go to sehwan in Sindh, Pakistan. Great performance.

Only thing that looked missing was a TRUE BASS guitar in this team. I wish I could have been playing with them here, it would have TRULY changed the whole effect of this song.
I am not a critic but a professional bass guitar player and I just written what came in my heart because I love their work for many years.
