I am Iranian and stayed in Pakistan in 1987 + 1988 and there learned about Qawwali. I found Sufi people very peaceful and now I enjoy to see Sikh people also love this ceremony and they are welcomed. You can see their passion and engagement. Couldn't we all be peaceful and friendly like this?

My family and friends were not fan of USTAD NUSRAT FATEH ALI KHAN SAHAB. They had not listen his songs and qawwali much. So i decided to show them the God of music. Whenever we were in the car I started playing Ustad’s songs or qawwalis. First time they said “ why you listen ( Nusrat’s ) old songs. Second time they said “play That song of ( Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. ) Third time they said “play ( Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahab’ song. ) Fourth time they said “we will listen only ( USTAD NUSRAT FATEH ALI KHAN SAHAB. )
No special music, No other sound effect but Still on the top of all the time. All the quawallis of Nusarat Sahab makes me cry as heart touching. If there were any chance to get him back We would do.

The audience in the front row had no idea how lucky or blessed they were to be sitting so close to the legend and feel the magic. I wish I could turn the clock back and be in first row and get mesmerised. I guess I will never be that lucky. God bless the legend's soul.
You may be aware. Nfk Saab has performed to very ordinary people in Pakistan. Also in many dargas with 10000s of mosquitoes and flying insects in the premises .And people closely around. He was equally comfortable at royal albert hall or in Washington University campus. His attitude was too simple. A real insaan and a mystic by talent.

This is the power of music when sung from heart. Just a Few instruments and a handful of people samaa bandhne ke liye kaafi hai. I often see such situations whenever we visit our village and the bhajan mandli is called to sing bhajans. Simple bhajans gaakar bhi aisa maahaul khada karte hai ki sab jhumte reh jaate hai. No fancy lights or instruments needed. A dholak, manjire , thaali and a spoon . But wo aawazein aapko hamesha yaad rahengi. I applaud such people and people like nusrat sahab for keeping this beautiful mandlis alive. Its time we look back to the treasures that are in our villages .....because such things if lost cannot be restored even after spending millions of rupees. And people who think that conserving such things is a waste of time have definitely never seen such simple, elegant yet extremely powerful such experiences are. It brings us to the realization as to where the actual strength in our culture lies. They are like the roots....which have held our whole culture together. We really need to arrange and appreciate such functions more and more....because when we attend such things, we unDerstand what we are actually missing out in this money driven world . And that money is not necessary for everything thing good in life. Some things are just best when originated from heart, and no amount of money can create a soulful piece .

This Qawwali written by Amir khusro in 13th century and modified by bulahshah he added ali element and most important thing in it to makes it beautiful then again it modified by Nazir ali in 1969 and sung by Noor jahan after this The legend Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan also sung this.Sufi writters such a real legends 🛐

My family and friends were not fan of USTAD NUSRAT FATEH ALI KHAN SAHAB. They had not listen his songs and qawwali much. So i decided to show them the God of music.
Whenever we were in the car I started playing Ustad’s songs or qawwalis.
First time they said “ why you listen ( Nusrat’s ) old songs.
Second time they said “play That song of ( Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. )
Third time they said “play ( Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahab’ song. )
Fourth time they said “we will listen only
( USTAD NUSRAT FATEH ALI KHAN SAHAB. )
No special music, No other sound effect but Still on the top of all the time.
All the quawallis of Nusarat Sahab makes me cry as heart touching.
If there were any chance to get him back We would do.

This is the power of music when sung from heart. Just a Few instruments and a handful of people samaa bandhne ke liye kaafi hai. I often see such situations whenever we visit our village and the bhajan mandli is called to sing bhajans. Simple bhajans gaakar bhi aisa maahaul khada karte hai ki sab jhumte reh jaate hai. No fancy lights or instruments needed. A dholak, manjire , thaali and a spoon . But wo aawazein aapko hamesha yaad rahengi. I applaud such people and people like nusrat sahab for keeping this beautiful mandlis alive. Its time we look back to the treasures that are in our villages .....because such things if lost cannot be restored even after spending millions of rupees. And people who think that conserving such things is a waste of time have definitely never seen such simple, elegant yet extremely powerful such experiences are. It brings us to the realization as to where the actual strength in our culture lies. They are like the roots....which have held our whole culture together. We really need to arrange and appreciate such functions more and more....because when we attend such things, we unDerstand what we are actually missing out in this money driven world . And that money is not necessary for everything thing good in life. Some things are just best when originated from heart, and no amount of money can create a soulful piece .
