JAMMU AND KASHMIR
The ancient Jamia Mosque in Srinagar was built by King Sikander Shah Kashmiri in 1394 AD. It has a pond with a fountain in the middle which is used for ablution purpose.
UTTAR PRADESH
In the 100-year-old Asifi mosque in Lucknow, water for ablution used to come from a well, India Today's reporter found.
According to Maulana Amil Shamshi, there were fountains in the past and they exist even today, but the pressure of the water has reduced.
At Tehsin ki Masjid in Lucknow, there used to be two big ponds which are now covered with a net. Now, water from a tank is used for ablution.
Chota Imambara in Lucknow, meanwhile, used to have a fountain for the purpose of wazu (ablution).
At Jama Masjid Eidgah in Lucknow, a tank is used for wazu. Earlier, water was brought from a well. Maulana Sufiyan Nizami said, "Earlier, we used to arrange water for ablution, but not anymore."
MADHYA PRADESH
At Tajul masjid in Bhopal, the wazukhana is a huge open square tank with a flower-shaped fountain in the centre. On all four sides of the tank, taps are connected. The water from the taps is drained out after wazu.
The construction of the mosque began in 1871.
At Gwalior's 100-year-old Moti Masjid, water from taps is used for wazu.
DELHI
At Fatehpuri Masjid in Delhi's Chandni Chowk, there is a wazukhana in the front yard. There is a fountain in the middle of the wazukhana. Nowadays, water from taps is used for ablution in the wazukhana.
The mosque was built in 1650.
Meanwhile, Husaini Masjid in old Delhi has a wazukhana with a fountain at its centre. Mohammad Sadiq, who has been looking after the mosque for the last 30 years, said the mosque has changed over time.

Almost all mosques of the 16th and 17th centuries have a fountain in their or ablution area. Others have removed it only recently to replace the creaky old structure with a new one. Among them is the historic Masjid Abdun Nabi located next to the erstwhile police headquarters in central Delhi. The mosque which serves as the nodal point for Jameat Ulama-e-Hind, has had a large pond for ablution. At the centre of it has been a fountain. Named after Mughal emperor Akbar’s registrar, the mosque is under renovation and the fountain too is being given a facelift with the faithful meanwhile asked to use the tap for washing their hands and feet.wuzukhana
The story is repeated at the historic Madrasa Husain Bux in Old Delhi. Built in 1852, the madrasa played host to freedom fighters in the early 20th century. The madrasa has had a hauz or a pond with a fountain at the centre. Now under renovation, the fountain was replaced with a pillar at the centre with provision for birds to quench their thirst in summers. The story is repeated at the good old Patna Wali Masjid in Bara Hindu Rao and Masjid Fakhruddin in Azad Market, etc. Each of them has a cylindrical fountain at the centre of the water body.
Noted American historian explains the reason behind the presence of fountains in Islamic architecture. “You’ve got to circulate water. Otherwise, it will be gross and mosquito haven. Pleasantness of surroundings and cleanliness are pretty strong concerns in Islamicate culture,” she explains.

yeah he asked for Jaziya tax which was 1.8% of someone's income (except Brahmins, Widows & Poor) where as muslims had to pay 2.5% of their income. However if you see our current government is taking how much of our income, if you compare with Aurangzeb rule, the tax was still lesser than what we are paying now.

Very dispassionate and balanced view of Dr. Ram Puniani regarding the historiography of communalism in India. I suggest that a committee of learned men like Dr. Puniani and others be created to resolve the issues arising from temple mosque disputes in the country. The attention of government to win elections by fanning hindu Muslim communalism is regressing the nation into the past and misdirecting the people's focus into useless things.

SC did not say that there was no mandir under the masjid! SC said it is not clear whether the mandir was destroyed and masjid built. It was proven by archeologists that there was a mandir there.

*Dhimmi means - non muslim citizens of a Muslim ruler* .
As per the dhimmi covenant,ordered by Allah in holy Quran that an islamic emperor could not destroyed the religious structure of non muslim citizens of his sultanate.
Quran says *whoever kills a dhimmi, will burn in hell*
Prophet says *whoever harms a dhimmi, I shall be his foe on the day of judgement*
Hadith says *do not damage the places of worship of the dhimmi's , if damage is done, it is your responsibility to repair it*
Aurangzeb was a hard core muslim , therefore it's hard to believe in that he had violated the orders of the holy Quran and the prophet and hadith .
