You cant go back in time and that train has probably left the station for good on the days of Nebraska being a national power again. Nebraska will probably only be a mediocre team for the foreseeable future at the very least. Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and Texas A&M should have never left the Big 12 and stood up to texas and their greed rather than running away. If so, the Big 12 never would have lost Oklahoma and texas... and if texas decided to leave like the other 4 did, the conference could have much easier replaced a single program, rather than 4 programs with program of lower level status, and still would have been strong and would have had a good enough product to negotiate higher tv rights for everyone. Back then... the only thing Nebraska had to do was win the weaker north division, win the conference championships and you would be in the playoffs every year. Cupcake path to the playoffs every year for a team in the north division of the Big 12. Nebraska brought the culture of mediocrity upon themselves. Get use to it. Its been waaaaay to many seasons since leaving the Big 12 now to think it is a short term problem.
I hope the Husker fans (of which I am one) don’t try to run Rhule out of town if he doesn’t go 14-0 and win the national championship by his third year. Times are different now.
Michigan needs to pack it up for the season, they don’t need to steal signs during the game ole Jim Bo had someone stealing them before they even played. They say they have been filming other games since 21, I actually thought Michigan was good boy was I mistaken. Dark dark era in Michigan football.
@@leonhood2649man, you sound like my wife, stop over reacting on everything. Dark era lol. As a Michigan fan, this is the best era since our shared championship with Nebraska.
I toll my eyes when they say “ it didn’t matter” Even if that’s true, it’s irrelevant. It’s not about whether or not they needed to break a rule. It’s that they did. In fact, if they didn’t need to. that’s worse. Means they put their program in jeopardy over nothing.
At the end when he said "I would never try to cash in on someone else going through a hard time..." he revealed everything those people needed to hear. Everyone steals signs. Everyone KNOWS everyone steals signs. And it seems, everyone knew UM was going past the rule book. And believe this - people that are less than savory WILL cash in here.
In game "sign stealing" isn't against the rules and is not what's at issue here. The issue is someone from Michigan going and recording/filming the signs at other games and/or practices.
Most people do not understand the purpose of the rule against "off campus" scouting. The rule was enacted to keep a level playing field for all teams in a league whether it is the Big Ten, SEC or Pac 12. in the Big Ten only the big programs (OSU, Mich and possibly Penn st.) would be tempted to do "off campus" scouting. The Northwesterns, Purdues and Indianas of the Big Ten do not do "off campus" scouting. "Scouting" here is not just watching the game, rather it the hard work of "sign stealing": attending 6 or so OSU games, videotaping OSU's 3 different sign signalers, and use of UM computers to synthesize all the info. Is this what college football has become? The NCAA did not know about today's technology but they were wise when in the 1990s they adopted the rule against "off campus" scouting.
Yea...no, it was a cost cutting measure.. Smaller schools couldn't pay to send scouts out and before 1994 it was legal..Dunno where you got your info from.

100% agree. Put mics in helmets and let’s be done with it. That said, given the current rules sending people to video games is cheating. TCU had four weeks to change their signs last year. Enough said.
Weird how Michigan couldn't beat TCU, but Georgia beat them with little effort. Meanwhile Georgia barely beat OSU, yet Michigan did it rather easily. Something doesn't add up.
@theflew Ohio admitted that Michigan didn't have their signs since they altered them that week before the game so your right ohio took a shit against Michigan. Lmao Ohio just sucked and is hoping that UM gets suspended and kicked from this years season so they have a chance.
@@carnivorepolice5-0 Changing your signs doesn't do anything. You already know the signs they had for every play. All you have to do is "watch a half" and correlate what the new sign is for the same play. Notice how Michigan did better in the second half like they figured something out?
@theflew you actually are serious that's funny, so watch a half and figure out the signs (based on your own analogy) anyway their is no strategic and vantage than to having the signs in advance.
