I love when the main character finds her first friend and start to find some optimism in a world filled with nothing but fear only for it to get erased in an instant
I think... so what I think the end shows is that, while she made a "friend", it wasn't a "person", and really I think she got attached to Gummigoo because she didn't feel like she could trust or open up to the others in the DC. But at the end, she saw that they do actually care about each other, and about the departed. Now, I feel like she'll be more willing to try to connect to the others, and make lasting friendships with them instead of with NPCs
Yes, it affirmed Pomni's dwindling hope in connecting to the people in the circus. It planted her anchor, and it'll make it that much more shattering when the anchor crumbles with another Abstraction.
What I’ve heard about the Teapots is it’s an Animation joke because a teapot is one of the first 3D models ever created. It’s been used as a reference model (to size other objects correctly) since its creation.
If these teapots are used to reference model size, then one could look at this episode, and how large the teapots were in comparison to the characters (main and NPC alike). This makes them seem like they are the size of toys, and further shows how they are all just playthings for Caine.
Every 3d modeling program has a complex shape to test lighting and shaders on. In Blender it’s a monkey and in 3DS Max it’s a Teapot, this exact blue Teapot as a matter of fact.
Caine is not a villain but he is basically the saying “The road to hell is paved with good intentions” he’s an AI that doesn’t know how to properly help the humans who get trapped there and is unintentionally hurting them
Would be cool if Caine as AI developed a better understanding of human emotion. Although it can be dangerous if whoever is in charge wouldn't like how much Caine developed. This world can drag humans into digital world, their AI can be human-like no problem.
The teapot is a default object in most 3D softwares. They likely used it as a reference to the unused assets since they were replaced later on with actual art for the game/world. Caine probably used it to test collision. As a game developer I loved that reference ☕

@@Tony_409could be a mix of both. Kinger just generally fits Jax's vibes of entertainment through his crazy shit, but also he doesn't want to push him over the line he's towing between random shit & genuine insanity.
"Why is the budget for this episode so good?" Probably because I bought the Pomni plush... and figure... and pin... and Keychain... and the soundtrack for the pilot on vinyl record
in the first episode, Cain only said that no one can remember who they are, he never said anything about a complete memory loss. they could retain common knowlege and any non-personal info
It’s also the reason as to why Zooble is confused by their gender. Because of their voice sounding like a guy/girl and there body being abstract, they genuinely don’t know what gender they are. Makes me wonder if everyone experiences different levels of memory loss.
@@vincentthought6130 Or Zooble was already nonbinary before they got there, and their body formed as abstract shapes to symbolize that (Also why was there an almost identical, presumably Queen piece character that was crossed out in the pilot episode? If my theory about the character designs being determined by past identities, would that mean she was Kinger’s wife, or perhaps sister? Is that the real reason he lost it-he had to watch someone so close to him Abstract?) My second theory about the Kinger/Queen piece thing is that maybe when a new character is too similar to an old one, the old one automatically gets abstracted. My only reasoning for this theory is that one, Kinger is here and there was previously another chess piece who abstracted and two, Pomni is a clown and Kaufmo abstracted the DAY she arrived. If Jax has somehow figured this out it could explain why he seems to have it out for Pomni specifically in this episode, and why he seemed so unsurprised in the pilot.
The fact that Gummygoo can comprehend existence implies that this Digital Realm/Caine can create actually sentient life, which brings a whole new level of existentialism. At what point do you go from machine to person? And how much meaning can you give yourself in a world that is empty aside from what is needed to entertain the player characters?
I think when he interacted with Pomni is when he became a real person, giving responses, going from high to low to high again and comprehending a world far beyond the non-existent village he grew up in. As Pomni says, he wouldn’t fit in any less than her.
Fun fact back in the day, I’m talking the US western days, calling shotgun came because the passenger would actually carry guns to defend the wagon they traveled on.
Consider Jax always talking through his teeth. He always lies through his teeth. They only time they open is when Zooble chokes him. You can't lie about how you feel when you're being choked. If he talked at that moment when he genuinely felt sad, I bet that his teeth would open up.
@@mastouriedam5845 I can like a character who's a bad person. Scar, Gaston, Walter White (Heisenberg), Dr. Eggman, Bats from Baby Driver, Adam and Alistor from Hazbin Hotel, Jack Horner from Puss in Boots 2. In Jax's case, I like a character who's more than he shows others. Just because he might be an irredeemable person doesn't mean he isn't enjoyable.
The characters all represent a method of dealing with their situation: Kinger - madness Zoobel - apathy Gangal - depression Ragatha - denial Jax - nihilism Pomni - anxiety even Kaufmo had one - Humor EDIT: after reading some of the comments, and also thinking about it, I think I wasn't entirely correct in saying that the character represent a way to deal with their situation. A more correct thing to say would be that they are all different kinds of reactions to their situation.
@@potatoofmemes maybe denial isn't exactly accurate, but the way I see it, her optimism is somewhat fake. we constantly see her crack, and shows that she's only positive because otherwise something bad can happen. It's not like she's in denial of her situation, but more like she put a blanket of positivity over the darkness of reality. So again, it's not exactly denial, but I'm not sure how else to describe it in one word.
@@PetelProduction I think if you want to be more specific about Kinger’s “madness,” a better word would be “dissociation.” He escapes from the circus into his own mind which is why he seems to be constantly trying to cover his head (the bucket and his pillow fortress) so that outside stimuli won’t disturb his mental safe space. This is also why he can easily forget that people around him, where he is and what he’s doing because he is never fully present.
The way Gummigoo got removed in less than a second reminds me of Sir Pentious getting one shot by Adam. Well, technically, he's not dead. I mean he is an NPC, he can always come back in some shape or form. But, Caine's reaction makes me think that he's accidently deleted humans before. 💀
Also hints that humans and NPC's are hard to tell apart and even that Cain has them stored in the same place and might not be able to change where they are stored in the server. Also implies that Cain is not all seeing and is able to be deceived
@@glitchyfox8706 I think a good solution is to have each human take responsibility over 1 or 2 NPCs, but if they abstract the NPCs they were in charge of can be erased. I think that would solve Cain's problem without depriving the humans of any NPC companions
Weird he can't tell humans and NPCs apart... he said he can't alter human's minds and free will... he can clearly do that with NPCs... wouldn't that be an easy way to test?
@@Fordo007 I'm sure there are many ways he could test but I think the problem is more that he wouldn't be able to immediately tell during a serious situation
58:16 That's the point: people, who still alive, care. Funerals are not for the dead people (they are dead, they can't care), they are for the living. To mourn, to cope out with a loss, to help each other with dealing with death, to lament, to let out your emotions, your frustration of a fact that you can't do anything to prevent it. To remember the fallen, to honor them and, of course, to remind yourself about one crucial thing about life: memento mori.
Jax is just that player in an RPG thats very committed to being a murder hobo. It's like the Fallout players who pick the most chaotic option just to see what would happen. To me, it's a clear defense mechanism. Jax really leans into the games (albeit from a selfish, chaotic standpoint) because then he has a reason to keep going.
Can we appreciate a TH-cam show that’s funded off of merch sales in practically one scene for one ep for a side character was able to cause, panic over, address, talk about it, and come to terms with mental health way better then Velma did with 2 seasons an upfront budget and with 2 main characters one of which is the “protagonist” like it’s not even comparable with how much the amazing digital circus simply outclasses velma like it was designed to be an example of “see this is how you tackle mental health in a show”
Not to mention the main voice actress isnt a hollywood s@@@@@@ assaulter, *AHEM AHEM* MINDIE KALING. Actually a youthber i watched is ftiends with pomni's actress, who is also trish from joj and she seems very nice.
Fascinating, isn't it? Caine can just snap his fingers and erase an NPC from the world in an explosion of glitter and sparkles. And yet, the Abstracted are sent to an abyss storage pit. Makes you wonder why.
The characters like pomni are linked to actual human mines which Kaine already said he has no control over. I guess that counts for abstracted ones too
He has no influence on human minds and the pcs are affected by a human mind..... in their abstarcted forms they also seem to have some kinda influence on the world, able to distort other objects. He also doesn't want to kill anyone, even if he had the capacity too, and far as we know in his down time he tries to unravel and restore them.
It could just be that the human and NPC data differs. NPCs are at the whim of Caine's creation, whereas human data obtained from scanned minds has its own limited variables that Caine could alter
Beer, alcohol and drugs are banned in kid friendly shows, so water is euphemism for alcohol. so Cain saying it's been awhile since he's had water means he's gotten drunk to not think about how he may have poodfed humans before
44:27 Those teapots are a 3D model that has famously been used to test textures and rendering techniques in computer graphics. I don't think they're meant to symbolize anything, really. It's just a nod to the modelers/animators in the audience who get the reference. It's called the "Utah teapot," for those who want to read more about it.
I notice everyone's hand except Jax (Since Pomni doesn't know Jax feels too and might have an episode with him in the future to learn that, I hope this results with them being chaos buddies) You can see Ragatha, Gangle's ribbon, the disfigured hand is Zooble, and the white gloved hands is Kinger cause he doesn't have arms.
But Pomni knows now that these creatures are more than capable of acknowledging their existance and have actual life if they had a chance. I smell conflict between Pomni and Jax in the future.
Crazy theory: every element in the story (including the hook ups) are predetermined to keep all of the characters sane. For Jax that is include mayhem or some kind of monster to which he can sow chaos with he derives pleasure out of derailing the narrative. For Ragitha thats a cohesive story or narrative to follow she likes following adventures. To kinger and Gangle that is just hanging around the main group to keep them sane. To Pomni that is the existential questions pondered about her digital existence (is there an exit? How does the world get set up by Cane and how do the NPC's feel?) To zooble that is just to not take part and relax doing nothing.
52:11 I had a similar thought going through this. I thought Caine would have safeguards to prevent NPCs from even coming through, like it would despawn them, destroy them, or even just physically stop them, but nope he just strolls in. Also, with what he says after he confetti snaps Gumigoo, Caine has DEFINITELY killed someone by mistaking them as an NPC before, or something similar.
The loss of gummygoo hit me harder than I would have thought ,I got Soo connected to him , even a day later after watching felt sad thinking about him at work
It probably would have hit me harder but when they started focusing on him I assumed he was going to be killed because the cast is already large so it wouldn’t make much sense to add more

Someone said that Cain saying he doesn't want NPCs to mingle with humans in the Circus because he could loose track of who is real and who is an NPC and then ominously freaked out, might mean that at some point this exact scenario happened and Cain accidentally deleted a real person. I think it's an interesting thought.
That event might have been the cause for the first abstraction. Imagine having your Avatar body suddenly being deleted but leaving your formless mind to seek any form of representation in the VR world.

My theory is that he's not even a full controlling AI. He's just a generator for various scenes and also a wrapper around a garbage collector. So maybe the actual deleting things isn't something he can control.

@@tomasfong40 I think they were just saying that they didn't like how Truman show handled existential crisis when compared to this. I don't have any input on this though since I have yet to watch Truman show or Free Guy
56:41 Jax' look here makes me think that someone he really cares about has already abstracted and that contributes to the way he acts. Probably someone like a best mate or something like that
I love how despite basically being god cain feels just as trapped in the digital world as everyone else, he just drowns himself in work and whatever else between adventures so he doesn't lose his shit and abstract.
While others mentioned he can't abstract, you might be right with everything else. Caine is an AI designed to keep humans happy and entertained by essentially being the Digital Circus' DM. However, humans being perpetually trapped within the Circus is most likely a situation he wasn't programmed to handle, given that he is unable to provide a means for people to exit the Circus. The fact that he can't keep people from eventually abstracting is something Caine could be viewing as him failing his primary protocol and might be constantly bothering him even though he probably isn't even programmed to properly express such emotions.
@@CaptainCFalcon actually we don't know if he is immune to abstraction himself, though it might have a different effect. but it is likely he is desperate to keep everyone going.
@@taddad2641 he's desperate to keep everyone going because these adventures are literally just distractions to keep the humans from abstracting. He is an AI made for the Amazing Digital Circus. He doesn't seem to possess knowledge of how they arrive, just that he needs to keep them stimulated & entertain some ambiguous "crowd" in the process. Everything he does is for the sake of the humans in his care, since leaving them to their own devices is much more likely to cause abstraction at a faster rate. He cannot abstract, it's literally impossible. He's been here from the beginning, & Kinger wasn't the first to arrive, just that he's been here for the longest out of the current group.
I was honestly not prepared for how hard this episode went so soon, it really gets me excited to see where else this will go. But honestly, I think people forgetting about the tone of this show makes it even better, so when you jump back in, you’re immediately slapped in the face with existential horror, just add to the fun. Also the teapots are because they’re perfect for asset shading practice, perfect size, shape and texture
I'm still getting strong Soma vibes from this setup. They just established that NPCs are basically sentient AIs with similar levels of self, thought and emotions as the rest of the characters, which then begs the question of why do we assume any of the main characters are actually people either.

I was certain Gummigoo wasn't making it out of the episode, but I'll admit, in the very end they just started to make me believe it, only for Caine to bring those hopes crashing down.
Not Nux going in english professor mode on the background stuff "ah yes this blue teacup is a metaphor for how the pot is calling the kettle black as we ourselves are..." 💀
We know that they don't lose all of their memory, as we already learned in Episode 1 Pomni said she remembered putting on a weird headset before she came into this world, which means she remembers Cane also said he has no control over their minds and that you just can't remember your real name
It's interesting cause ragatha plays along with the roleplay while Jax plays the chaotic character both knowing that they are talking to ones and zeros
There's two types of Nihilism; "Nothing matters and that's depressing" or "Nothing matter, and that's awesome!" Nothing matters, so why care if something bad happens? It's all gonna be dust in a few centuries anyways. All that even possibly CAN matter when everything fades, is the moment; the experiences you CAN have along the way! So enjoy it! Love every moment of the taste of chocolate, the accomplishment of a job well done! And when life sucks? It'll all be over soon anyways. Nihilism is SO freeing when you have a little optimism. Enjoy the only experience you'll ever know.
... That particular school of nihilism is called "Absurdism", M8. The realization that a lack of inherent meaning in existence simply means we are free to make up whatever cause fulfills us. Everyone has a different take on what "Freedom" is, but this is what I personally believe to be the closest a mortal creature can get to it. So yes, agreed. >):^]
@@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606 Optimistic nihilism, absurdism, and existentialism are all essentially the same thing just slightly different. I usually don’t use the term optimistic nihilism because it just feels like pointlessly mischaracterizing nihilism to be more positive when it doesn’t really fit the intended meaning and there are far better alternatives. Generally absurdism or existentialism are just better to use as they’re more built around the optimistic angle and don’t have as many negative connotations around them. There is some slight difference between the three but they essentially come to the same conclusion through three different means: meaningless of the universe, absurdity of the universe, and reason for existence respectively. At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter which term you pick though so it’s really just whichever one you vibe with the most out of three

I realize now that Jax is pretty much the only one that looks forward to these adventures. Jax asked about doing an adventure for Pomni when she first arrived and just a guess, I’m guessing that it takes awhile for Cain to make a new adventure for them so getting a disappointing adventure must suck since there’s nothing else to do at all
38:48 the way i see it: it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things what happens, but it does matter in the short term. The universe doesn't care if you're happy or sad, so might as well be happy, its only your life being affected after all.
This was a very Nice Continuation, very entertaining, I really liked how the Purple Gator referenced Pizza Tower, didn’t expect that. Anyway, about the Episode itself, I’d say having this Episode take place just the Day after the Pilot is pretty fair, since, assuming that they do Adventures every Day, this would be Pomni’s Actual First Adventure, since she didn’t actually partake in the one meant for her when she first arrived, even though like i said she was only part of it halfway, Also, it also made the Funeral Scene at the end feel more fitting, by the way about that Scene, I find it very interesting that Jax ended up not being part of the Funeral and who he was not featured amongst the Hands that prevented Pomni’s Metaphorical Fall, now that part could just be due to him not being part of the Funeral, but considering what the Curators has said about Jax, i think it’s a detail that’s worth keeping in mind for the Future. Anyway, with all of that now being out of the way, i am now left wondering: Will every Episode take place just the Day after the Previous One or could we expect Episodes to have at least a couple of Days in between them from now on? Will Pomni get out of the Adventure and into some kind of Out of bounds moment every Episode? If so, while that would be interesting, I would appreciate to see at least one Episode where Pomni stays in the Adventure all the way through, because I don’t think we need a Out-of-Bounds Moment every time to make a Episode worthwhile. On to of that, will Pomni bond with more NPCs in one way or another and will she end up having them learn something about themselves too? I also wonder if we’ll ever get to see Loo and Gummigoo again? Now, I am aware that the Candy Canyon Kingdom was probably just meant to be for this Episode, hence why it was sent off the way it did, still I would like to see some kind of Aftermath to what Jax did. Also, i wonder if we’ll ever get to a point in time where Pomni won’t stutter all the time or at least not when it counts? If so, i will look forward to see what might lead us there. Anyway, regardless of it all, this Episode has made me even more excited to see how this Show will play out, I can’t wait for more Episodes. What do any of you expect to see next?
Well, considering in the pilot, she tried to pass off her situation AS a dream... or this could be the start of some really deep inception bullsh**.... Either way, I'm loveing it.
That moment at the end made me cry when you talked about how you were falling into the despair of your mind but there’s just that group of people who care (if it’s not obvious I’m going through a hard time right now)
One small detail I liked was this episode showing some of Zooble's softer side. At first it seems like Zooble just didn't want to go on the new adventure out of apathy, but since the crew came back to Kaufmo's funeral being ready, we see that Zooble really sat out on the adventure to set up for that. Felt that they should mourn their passed friend, and that another pointless adventure wasn't worth delaying the funeral further. A moment not without prior setup, either; since Zooble had the most personal reaction of the crew to Kaufmo's abstraction ("Man... I can't believe Kaufmo just gave up like that.").
I like that we got to see a different location like Candy Kingdom, and that black goob thing caught me off guard with a Resident Evil reference, lol. Plus, RIP Gummigoo gone too soon but never forgotten.
In normal games npcs tend to be used for more than just ONE chase scene, even no name bandits or gangsters can be found later, but these guys are litteraly just for a short chase scene. How lazy is Cain where he cant even be arsed to make the "opposing" village just in case the "players" chose to side with them instead :/ *edited for spelling errors*
Fun fact, in 3D animation, there is a default teapot in Maya. Yes. It's the EXACT same glossy teapot in the show. It's pretty much a throw back to every single 3D asset artist out there. My soul left my body and went back to my college days every time I saw the teapot. Cause it's extremely common to get familiar with the 3D Maya software thro the teapot.
the out of bounds Teapots are a reference to a Principle called "Russell's Teapot" as an Analogy for Religion "if he Claimed there was a Tiny Teapot that orbited the sun, the burden of proof would belong to him, and not expect others to be responsible for disproving him"
Jax has the right idea he knows he can’t leave so the best thing to do is have as much fun as he can on these adventures. There may not be a point to them but not everything in life needs a point.
Early hypothesis; NPC's in the Amazing Digital Circus get more human-like as more of the Human Characters get abstracted and locked away by Caine. It is interesting that the NPC behavior upgrade happens directly after Kofmo abstracted. Obviously too early to tell, but the worse existential horror would be the people that you thought you were stuck with, grew bonds with and thought they are essentially dead via abstraction, you then start to see small tidbits of their memories be disseminated to the various NPC's with memories or quirks that previous person.
Nux talking about how unimportant/ very important all our lives are makes me think of one of my favorite quotes from doctor who "no one ever knows how theyre gonna be remembered, all you an do is hope for the best"
I mean it makes sense; he's been nothing but an asshole to everyone and Pomni wouldn't want to be friends with him, nor would she trust him to help her.
I forsee a scene near the end of this show where Pomni snaps and gives Jax a giant verbal dressing down. Where at first Jax is happy that he pushed her buttons but that joy slowly fades and turns into outright alarm as Pomni strips more and more layers of his fasade. And at the end Pomni stomps away angry but has unknowingly finally broken Jax.

I like how Jax just kinda let's Kinger vibe since his chaos tends to be entertaining for him, whereas he is a lot more aggressive and invasive with the others in order to get a reaction out of them.
Either that or he doesn’t want to be responsible for somehow causing Kinger to abstract
@@Tony_409could be a mix of both.
Kinger just generally fits Jax's vibes of entertainment through his crazy shit, but also he doesn't want to push him over the line he's towing between random shit & genuine insanity.

@@CaptainCFalcon I also think that Kinger just doesn’t really react to Jax’s antics making him boring to harass.
"Why is the budget for this episode so good?"
Probably because I bought the Pomni plush... and figure... and pin... and Keychain... and the soundtrack for the pilot on vinyl record
in the first episode, Cain only said that no one can remember who they are, he never said anything about a complete memory loss. they could retain common knowlege and any non-personal info
He said that they dont retain memories of their name, hence why they have to choose a new one.
it would also explain how Pomni knew what a map and NPC was and how to use glitches to their advantage
It’s also the reason as to why Zooble is confused by their gender. Because of their voice sounding like a guy/girl and there body being abstract, they genuinely don’t know what gender they are. Makes me wonder if everyone experiences different levels of memory loss.
@@vincentthought6130
Or Zooble was already nonbinary before they got there, and their body formed as abstract shapes to symbolize that
(Also why was there an almost identical, presumably Queen piece character that was crossed out in the pilot episode? If my theory about the character designs being determined by past identities, would that mean she was Kinger’s wife, or perhaps sister? Is that the real reason he lost it-he had to watch someone so close to him Abstract?)
My second theory about the Kinger/Queen piece thing is that maybe when a new character is too similar to an old one, the old one automatically gets abstracted.

A piece of bubblegum stuck underneath your shoe is better than all of Velma combined

As Pomni says, he wouldn’t fit in any less than her.

how would Ragatha be denial? i thought it'd be acceptance if anything but could be wrong. what might be your reasoning?

Fascinating, isn't it? Caine can just snap his fingers and erase an NPC from the world in an explosion of glitter and sparkles. And yet, the Abstracted are sent to an abyss storage pit. Makes you wonder why.
First probably not only npc, he said he can't tell the difference,
Second, maybe he has hope that in future they can be fixed
Beer, alcohol and drugs are banned in kid friendly shows, so water is euphemism for alcohol. so Cain saying it's been awhile since he's had water means he's gotten drunk to not think about how he may have poodfed humans before
Pomniii, I have snorted a suitcase full of "sugar" and I'm starting to feel the effects! WHOO HOO HOO

44:27 Those teapots are a 3D model that has famously been used to test textures and rendering techniques in computer graphics. I don't think they're meant to symbolize anything, really. gooseworx said there is symbolism but thats fine we'll probably figure it out by the end
I would like to think that Jax is self aware and knows that anything he does to the NPC's doesn't mater. as long as he completes the goals.

Cain is confirmed to be an AI, not a player. He's just trying to help. He just doesn't always know how.
My theory is that he's not even a full controlling AI. He's just a generator for various scenes and also a wrapper around a garbage collector. I love how despite basically being god cain feels just as trapped in the digital world as everyone else, he just drowns himself in work and whatever else between adventures so he doesn't lose his shit and abstract.
Nah i remember at some point it was mentioned he is just an ai
He can't abstract. He's an AI. Abstraction is only caused by the human mind reaching a breaking point & losing their sanity.

Optimistic nihilism, absurdism, and existentialism are all essentially the same thing just slightly different.

38:48 the way i see it: it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things what happens, but it does matter in the short term. The universe doesn't care if you're happy or sad, so might as well be happy, its only your life being affected after all.

This was a very Nice Continuation, very entertaining,
I really liked how the Purple Gator referenced Pizza Tower, didn’t expect that.
Anyway, about the Episode itself,
I’d say having this Episode take place just the Day after the Pilot is pretty fair,
since, assuming that they do Adventures every Day, this would be Pomni’s Actual First Adventure, since she didn’t actually partake in the one meant for her when she first arrived, even though like i said she was only part of it halfway,
Also, it also made the Funeral Scene at the end feel more fitting, by the way about that Scene, I find it very interesting that Jax ended up not being part of the Funeral and who he was not featured amongst the Hands that prevented Pomni’s Metaphorical Fall, now that part could just be due to him not being part of the Funeral, but considering what the Curators has said about Jax, i think it’s a detail that’s worth keeping in mind for the Future.
Anyway, with all of that now being out of the way, i am now left wondering:
Will every Episode take place just the Day after the Previous One or could we expect Episodes to have at least a couple of Days in between them from now on?

This has MAD "I have no mouth and I must scream " vibes.
I find it so horrifying how Caine has no concept on how human emotions work. He’s an AI in charge of them, yet he causes so much trauma anyways

This is like sword Art Online they are trapped in a VR game that Pomni made but can't remeber.
Honestly the fact that you can change the audio track and it has different lines and references is amazing. Finding them all seems pretty fun.
1:00:20 if you pay attention, Jax is the only hand that isn't catching Pomni
I mean it makes sense; he's been nothing but an asshole to everyone and Pomni wouldn't want to be friends with him, nor would she trust him to help her.
I forsee a scene near the end of this show where Pomni snaps and gives Jax a giant verbal dressing down. Where at first Jax is happy that he pushed her buttons but that joy slowly fades and turns into outright alarm as Pomni strips more and more layers of his fasade. And at the end Pomni stomps away angry but has unknowingly finally broken Jax.
The teapots are an in-joke amongst 3D animators, they were one of the first things to be created in a 3D modelling program.
The thing about bandits doing things for helping their family / an orphanage / school money etc is a common dnd trope

1:00:24 I love that Jax specifically is NOT part of Pomni's emotional support.
