How can Napier return after a nearly third straight losing season under his tenure? No major program hires a coach and keeps them after three straight losing seasons. We are not Purdue or Wake Forest...
@@Chasing72 opinions over facts? The program is dead under Napier and stuck in the mud at best.
Napier should get another year? Seriously? How many SEC HC's kept their jobs after three straight losing seasons? How many in the Power 5? How many in D1A ball? I know one: Rich Brooks, who did it twice-at Oregon in the 80s and Kentucky in the early aughts. Great company. What's the rationale? That the defense kept them in the game, hampered by an offense that couldn't move the football (presumably because QB3 was eating ice cream rather than learning the playbook and watching film)? That the players are "playing hard" for Napier? By those metrics, we shouldn't have fired Muschamp. At least he could recruit. What a bad take. If BN gets another year, it'll be because Stricklin knows he'd be next.
IMO Kiffin is seriously privately considering this for so many reasons beyond the confines of a single post and it all depends on the results of the CFP this year for Ole Miss.
College football’s calendar needs to be fixed. It’s absurd that changing a head coach is nearly impossible to do and signing periods, transfer portal, and recruiting happen during the playoffs
Napier - inherits tire fire, struggles, appears to have built a competitive culture, theyre playing teams tough where they have no business doing so based on talent People - get rid of napier
If he does make the move, just know that he will leave in the dark of the night from Mississippi without talking to the team beforehand and jump on a private plane… He’s kind of got a history of that.
Lane isn’t leaving ole miss.. he can stay there for 20 years winning 8-9 games a season. He can knock off one or two top ten teams, play spoiler for Georgia or Bama, cherry pick seniors from the transfer portal, and he never has to worry about his seat even getting slightly warm.
If Napier can win - or compete (like UGA/TN) with us having our top 10 players hurt, I'd say we should keep him. I don't want to lose any momentum. We gotta start all over again if we fire Napier.
Firing the coach only works out about 1/3rd or 1/4th of the time. People need to be more patient. Firing the coach all the time ensures your program will be a bottom feeder.
At this point Florida should probably move on from Napier, and not worry about recruiting which isn’t even ranked in the top 50. If Napier is fired and Kiffen gets hired, Kiffen could bring 35 players with him via the portal. I disagree with Paul about whether Lagway comes back or not. I can’t see him leaving with a better coach coming in.
What has Finebaum been right about? Remember he said Kiffin was going to Auburn and how did that turn out? Florida was poised to make serious noise. Then they lose their QB. Sigh. And, in his case it is a massive loss. Lagway, the Gatorade high school player of the year was coming into his own, as a true freshman.

Cignetti or Kiffin could both be good choices. Both have drawbacks and question marks, but both also have some traits that could work well.
Poor Napier can't catch a break! The players were playing hard.
Good show brother.
Florida needs to go after Indianas coach
He definitely should be a target
Bro big facts!!!!
So Kiffin go a contract extension and raise 24 hours ago… Florida would have to pay 45 million to buy out his contract and also pay him minimum 10 mil a year lol… Florida is not going to get him
🗣Wrong‼️ 🫵🤣😭🤣
This UGA fan listens to both of you every time
Espn and Disney both can suck it.
How was it not a great start for Urban at UF? He won the National Championship year 2.
Billy is starting to turn around the program. Things are starting to fall into place! He is a great recruiter as well. I do not think we need to switch
Fell apart in Austin today
I don’t want lane kiffin at all as a Florida fan don’t think he fits there at all
Kiffin is good where he's at. Subscribe to the Outlaw of Common Folk for REAL takes on everything and share with your friends
Winning creates a "fit". I have no idea what you're talking about.
What does fit even mean? He wins games, that fits anywhere.
@ how did that go for Tennessee ?
@@simpsoccer11 That was 14 years ago. Urban Meyer was our coach then.
Guy has been at ole Miss longer than any coach we’ve had besides spurrier and urban.
Every time Ole Miss has something going, people try to take it away.
8 out of 10 times, a lot of sports rumors end up being true, and it's mainly made up and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Leave us alone, i just want one title in my lifetime 😢
Kiffin is the SEC mid-tier “village bicycle” once he ends up at Florida(perfect fit for their fan base) and then is fired…who’s next Kentucky? 😂😂
How can Napier return after a nearly third straight losing season under his tenure? No major program hires a coach and keeps them after three straight losing seasons. We are not Purdue or Wake Forest...
Sooooo many unfair injuries....Subscribe to the Outlaw of Common Folk for REAL takes on everything and share with your friends
Because the trajectory is going in the right direction?
@@Chasing72 Based on what? The 51st ranked recruiting class?
@@FrenchUncleLou Based on opinions. Equally as valid as yours….lol
@@Chasing72 opinions over facts?
It’s a fact that the recruiting class is ranked 51st
Stars like ETN and tre Wilson are leaving with or without Napier being there because his offense doesn’t get them the ball enough.
3rd straight losing season incoming for Napier.
The program is dead under Napier and stuck in the mud at best.
Oh Paul, I'm usually with you but today you've definitely missed the boat.
Finebaum was holding conversations in the jiffy store parking lot!
Ole Miss has the game of their year and you post this.. this is some slimy tampering posting. Nasty.
They’re keeping napier. I told y’all were a slimy rat.
Billy Napier has wayyyy too many injuries to fire him. Extenuating circumstances need to be accounted for
@@OutlawCollegeFootball because of poor S&C which is on billy
15-18, the excuse making in year 3 falls on deaf ears
@ the comments saying “you’ll blow your program up if you fire Napier now” is so ridiculous 😂
I think Kiffin would be Florida’s best bet. In fact, I think Kiffin would have been a better choice for Alabama than DeBoer.
...so 4 teams= drama
we go to 12
still drama?!!!
onward to 64 with a play in, callin' it
I want him back at Tennessee
Finebaum needs to stop getting these college coaches fired
Ahahahaha... he has that aura huh ahahahaha...Subscribe to the Outlaw of Common Folk for REAL takes on everything and share with your friends
Need to see Napier with a full year with Lagway
I've seen enough of Napier
Kiffin is gonna try and blow FLA out too.
Miami is a one year wonder.
Napier - inherits tire fire, struggles, appears to have built a competitive culture, theyre playing teams tough where they have no business doing so based on talent
People - get rid of napier
35-0 at halftime is not "competitive"
Oh, if UF gets Lane 😮
HECK NO ON LANE KIFFIN TO FLORIDA!!! Diehard Gator here since 1977!
I hope Florida gets Kiffin. So hope it!!
Lol why?
He just got an extension and raise after Arkansas game… buyout would be 45 mil and pay him minimum 10 mil a year lol good luck
If he does make the move, just know that he will leave in the dark of the night from Mississippi without talking to the team beforehand and jump on a private plane… He’s kind of got a history of that.
1st time ive ever seen Paul not take a shot at FSU
Lane to Florida & Napier to Alabama 🥴🥴🥴
Curt Cignetti is the biggest fish to catch for a SEC team. Lane is Les Miles 2.0
Fire Billy point blank
Matt clearly hates Florida cuz he is saying a coach with a losing record and not even top 50 in recruiting should stay.
Great analysis.
I don't think these two give FLA defense enough credit for why UGA didn't play well
Lane isn’t leaving ole miss.. he can stay there for 20 years winning 8-9 games a season.
Florida's program already is a bottom feeder with Napier
Going to Mississippi to get a coach has not worked out very good for Florifda in the past.
It’s a rivalry game. Those are close sometimes. How many times did bad Auburn teams take Saban down to the wire in years he won a title?
This show was the 1st to call for napiers job for Dan mullen
At this point Florida should probably move on from Napier, and not worry about recruiting which isn’t even ranked in the top 50. If Napier is fired and Kiffen gets hired, Kiffen could bring 35 players with him via the portal. I disagree with Paul about whether Lagway comes back or not. I can’t see him leaving with a better coach coming in.
What has Finebaum been right about? Remember he said Kiffin was going to Auburn and how did that turn out? Finebaum is an old relic that is obsolete but people still keep him around because his history with college football. Needs to worry about the nursing home rather than unfounded rumors about a coaching that isn’t even open.
I don’t want lane I rather take prime. UF needs coach prime.
As a Georgia fan, please make that happen.
Imagine if Deion took the Ole Miss job 🤔 he might create a monster
He is the monster
Oh god....please no, we don't need nor do we want Deion anywhere near our program.
I hope the rumors run rampart with Lane going to UF this week so his team will be distracted. My Dawgs better bring their Texas game attitude or it could be a rough day.
Not that I’m a yes or no on lane but one thing to consider is he’s been known to have his players fake injury’s
After the game is over no one is surprised
Florida was poised to make serious noise. Then they lose their QB. Sigh. And, in his case it is a massive loss. Lagway, the Gatorade high school player of the year was coming into his own, as a true freshman.
Lagway to the Canes in the portal
He's already signed with FSU
Give Napier another year, then if dont improve...then the AD should drive the brinks truck to boulder, Co...
Paul, I think Lane Kiffen is home. His kids, his paycheck, his bought-in fan base, and getting to live in Oxford gives him opportunity to build a dynasty. So, what would tempt him? You can only spend so much . Remember Jesus quote about rich man vs Camel and eye of a needle (in Matthew, Mark, AND Luke). Quit beating that horse, Paul.
Soooo… Lagway might not be done for the year?
I think it would be good for UF but Ole Miss has the money to keep him .
And SC is good better watch out
Lagway needs to transfer to UGA
UF can hire Norvell.
Miami is going to be sorry next year watch. They don't even play their back up QB
NIL has even things out in the SEC and College Football.
