at first: i like this video. at second: i watch it. at third: i leave this comment with a lot of appreciaton for this kind of masterpiece. thanks!
thanks a lot mate!
This is the first video of these that I have seen that really shows how rapid it is.. wow 😮
Thank you!
We have lots of bikes on the Market, and very different. The one thing I appreciate the most on the BMW range is the character of the boxer engine. And the breaks…and the stability… and the way it easily leans…but I’m not a fan of the brand…in fact, of any brand.
I just love motorcycles, man.
Thanks for this push on the GS 1300, we can really feel the torque. And that’s something where your videos are simply sublime! 👌🏻
Thanks a lot Fernando
Traction control and collision warner working hard these days. Sick ride! Love it!
thanks!
Quality as always, no music or background chat on this and that ! Good pure POV ……. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing riding as always Schaaf, nicely done mate. 👍🔥
Thanks again!
As always top notch quality content!! Thank you Schaaf❤
My pleasure!
@@Schaaf :-D
It’ll be interesting to see when they refit the RS with the 1300 boxer twin. That might end up being the hot ticket for spirited rides and long trips. The GS always got a lot of attention but the other models have quite a lot going for them, especially if one is honest that they are never going to leave the roads anyway.
Right. I drive a r1150r for this exact reason. Same thing, but a little bit more street-oriented, but still capable of long trips
I can’t wait to see when/if they’ll announce a r1300RS 🤩
I ride RS 1250 for 2.5years 60kkm, prefere it over GS,im just afraid 1300 will be too fast 😊
@@maurizioarrivabene8182 I’m on a R1200RT now. I like it a lot but there might be TOO MUCH wind protection. Whenever it is time to trade up, I might like to test ride an RS.
I agree, the new engine will be more interesting for the more road-oriented models!
This was a fast lap Schaaf! 😮 Seems like an amazing bike.
Thanks Mark
Ahhh finally! I was waiting for you to test it man! I hope you can test new F 900 XR aswell!
Hopefully! Thanks a lot for your support mate!!
@@Schaaf my pleasure mate! I test the new f 900 xr. Seat is horrible compare to ktm 790 adventure. Impossible to ride more than 50 km without pain.
i’m not a bmw guy but i love your riding style man…beautiful!
Thanks
Omg so many subs here , I remember your Honda Cb , that was the good time :D Thas good to be here again .
Thanks
Nice video and love the sound. I am going to the North of Spain with the same baby’s in few month :) thanks for having shared the google map link !
Excellent plan!
Great quality of sound and nice camera 👍🏻
Thanks! 👍
Excellent 🔥🌶💪🏻 Thanks for the ride! 🤘🏻
thanks
Great compact video and so much fun to share the ride with you. Would be nice to hear more about your thoughts on 1250 vs 1300 when you get a chance.
thanks a lot!
W8ted for this VIDEO! Your videos gives most feedback about new bikes for me! THX!
Awesome!!
What a ride, keep going brother...
Thanks ✌️
Great riding, excellent review!
Thanks Pete!
Perfect lines. Good job.
Thanks mate
Nice!!!! You sweet you got yo film one of these!
Yeah I did
I liked the tourist riding toward the end that was helpful
Good!
Sencillamente brutal; impresiona la fuerza con la que empuja el motor a la salida de las curvas. La carretera y el sonido del vídeo magníficos como siempre 😉👍
gracias
Excellent video, I haven't driven the GS 1300 yet. It has a good pressure of newton meters and it is very noticeable in the video, especially when it is driven by Mr. Shaaf 👍👍 Greetings and good luck!
thanks a lot!
Very nice riding, thanks for uploading. Your observations mirror my own. However I have to harshly disagree with what you said about the quickshifter. I upgraded from the 1250GS, have had my 1300 now for 10 days and driven it for over 1000 km so far. The new quickshifter is a huge step-up. On the 1250, it wasn't usable at all from gear 1 to 2, and so-so from 2 to 3. Now it's smooth in every gear, it's a dream. Also, you can now use the quickshifter in any gas position, shifting up or down. You only need to make sure gas position does not change while shifting. On the 1250, you could only shift up with gas engaged, and shift down with gas disengaged.
Have you ever tried ducati quickshifter? In my 1250 it only works great in full throtle and high rpm.
@@pctendas9528 Yes, exactly. Same as in mine. This is also what the 1250GS manual tells us. You have to open the throttle to shift up. And close throttle to shift down. This is what has changed now on the 1300. You can shift up or down at any position of the throttle, it just needs to stay at that position while shifting. BTW, also described by the 1300GS manual. So to anyone who complains about the quickshifter: RTFM. You might be using it wrong.
You've been lucky then!! The model I rode had exactly the same clunky performance as the 1250. All my journo colleagues agree. Unfortunately.
@@Schaaf Hi Schaaf, I've seen both multiple people complaining the quickshifter didn't get better (as you), as well as people being very happy about the huge improvement (as myself). I wonder if we somehow use the quickshifter differently. I strictly stick to the way it's described in the R1300GS User Manual, maybe this has something to do with it? Or, as you say, I might be just lucky. I stick to the manual because, when I had the 1250GS, the quickshifter didn't work for me, unless I read the manual and found out what I'm doing wrong. So with the 1300, this time I read the manual first 😁
great view Schaaf !
Many thanks!
Did my test ride this past Saterday,Impressive.
Nice!
LOL! Surprised to see you riding in Terrassa where I live!! Great surprise! Nice video as always, would have been incredible to cross paths in the road! Cheers!
Thanks! There's more videos from that road to come :)
@@Schaaf super! If you are around anytime again and want to test a BMW K1300R let me know 😄
Schaaf! My guy!
:)
Great ride as always! The gearing seems really high, if you’re able to do 130km/h in 3rd gear without approaching redline. I guess it makes for a pleasant highway cruising experience in 6th gear. And there seems to be plenty of torque available throughout the rev range. I may not be able to afford a GS for a while, but videos like these give me the feeling of riding one :)
Yes indeed! Highway cruising is smoother than ever before!
The audio recording is amazing , how you recorded it? what type of microphone you used and how you connected it. Thanks
Wow! Awesome!
Great video really enjoyed it . Hope your doing well 😄👍
Thanks. I'm OK
Glad to hear it 👍
Love your camera perspective. Where do you mount the camera??
I’m looking forward to more when you can get your hands on this bike again, maybe on one of your favorite roads.
would be nice
I like your rides and comments. Honest. Keep it up. Going to make my first GoPro bike video from Istanbul next week. Hope I can achieve your high quality of video and sound someday .
Thanks a lot
Thanks . I Trust in your opnions ad reviews.
Glad to hear that
I like when you ride slow and calm. Too many beautiful views all around to ride fast. Nice and interesting roads you have there.
There’s almost always a section of his videos for you. For the rest of us, it’s good to see what these bikes can do when being ridden a little harder by someone who knows what they are doing.
I like that everyone can find personal section for own preferences, Glad for you that you can find what you like. And thank you for your kind explanation. ;-)
Thanks
Hello Schaff, i really enjoy your videos.
I'm currently have to choose betwe en Multistrada v4s or thé 1300 GS...
I'm lost.
Wich one is the mots exciting?
Thanks,
I still hate the way it looks but that thing can move, nice riding as always
Thanks
Mükemmel bi konumlanma 👏
Thanks
How do you capture sound that crisp? what is your equipment setup?
this is an excellent bike ridden like a charm by you but i feel it lacks that big bike feel that the 1250 had , please convey your opinion on this!
Appropriate speeds ! Not reckless
, playful
👍🏻👍🏻⬆️
thanks
Love it!
Thanks!
Amazing !!!
Thanks
Beautiful road and bike, where was this filmed?
Hi Schaaf! Were you in Spain for a while or you visited in order to test this motorcycle? Take care
I'm here with work for two and a half weeks
Like that "late apex" in the curves (y)
Thanks for noticing
I love it!
thanks
The engine sounds amazing but is it actually vibrant in real life like in the video?
Exciting excellent 🎉
Thanks
Very good video.i'm french and i would like to know : what do you think about quickshifter contrary to 1250 GS? Thanks à lot
in low rpms more or less the same, in high rpms maybe a bit quicker on the 1300
first video of the 1300 GS that doesn't make us sleep! And actually makes 1250 owners consider upgrading. the 1300 engine is so much happier above 8000, there's no comparison. Now, that headlight...
Happy above 8000?
Peak power is @ 7750.
so? Numbers don't tell the whole story. I'm a 1250 owner having tried the 1300 and I can vouch for the fact the new engine is much rev happier @@matsrekdal3065
bruv, GS owner rarely go beyond 5000 rpm. This is the reason BMW made 1250 and 1300 engines with shiftcam so torquey at low and midrange rpm.
If you need to go beyond 8 grand in your GS you should probably buy a Multistrada.
@@vvevvevvvv I do. But maybe it's because I come from a KTM 1190
@@Westside7be probably
Thanks for another quality video! Could you feel the interference of TC?
Not at all!
Is this the Akra exhaust?
I rode on the same road this weekend if you continue ahead and get up to Montserrat the route is so fun and great.
It is!!
Servus :)
Geiles Video ansonsten
Ja, das ist tatsächlich shift cam
Org dass man das so heftig hört. Komisch eigentlich. Hörst du das beim fahren auch so wie im Video ?
Im Video hört man ja oft Sachen die man am Bike so nicht hört.
The (agricultural) transmission of the 1250 appears significantly improved. I noted that second gear goes a bit further too. Nice ride!
Thanks
Almost that time of year!
I’ll ride my CB500F for a couple of months or so before finally trading it in for an Africa Twin xD
Cool!
Update: actually no, I decided to go with the Yamaha Tenere 700! 🤘
Nice riding man! Which could you share which gloves are these?
Some terrible smelling Spidi ones I was gifted at some point
For you, in comparison, what is the most fun to drive? The new Gs1300 or Multistrada V2/950? especially in sports driving.
Definitely the 950. Better suspension and less weight.
I'm glad, I'm not the only person who finds, that these bikes are steering easy, but I hate the lack of communication from the front. You have to trust the bike in the corners, and it takes it with ease, but for me, I never know where the front tyre exactly is, and that's a bummer. I need the communication from the front wheel on spirited riding, and it seems that a telelever is not a match to me... but great driving Schaaf, your videos are the best!
Thanks! The Telelever makes it worse indeed but I also have to add that I'm struggling with feedback on all ADV bikes
I hope more videos for this bike
Sorry to disappoint you ;)
This is I've waiting for bmw r1300Gs
Nice!
I'm considering CB500 as my first bike and I watched all your CB500 clips. Is it reliable and good first bike?
Absolutely
Was waiting for this one. It did not dispoint. Its gonna kick some KTM ass. Now thats a flat twin that sounds just perfect
thanks
The ktm will still drag this
Awesome video, I agree with your review, and I also find the 1250gsa seat and seating position a lot more comfortable...Please man stop the speedo blurr, no one can incriminate you anyways, we wanna feel and see the speed, we ride for that!😜👌Have a good one buddy!✌
I don't censor the speedo for legal reasons since that doesn't make any difference indeed.
How was the sound of this new bike. Did u like it. Are we hearing it so nice bcoz of ur mic next to exhausts.
sounds much like the old one to me
I see Schaaf video, I press like...
Yes, this is my caveman-tier brain everytime Schaaf uploads.
excellent! :D
Hey, which exhaust and wheels you have? Thx. Beautiful drive 👍
Good question! I’m
curious too !
Is the horn beep to sync up audio/video? Smart trick.
Exactly!!
I'm 400 miles in on my triple black and I feel exactly as you do. I think I preferred my rt1250, I don't know yet..... or do i?
I can understand, I absolutely love the 1250 RT!
Very interesting what you say about the power at lower rpms comparing 1250 to 1300. Most GS riders almost never rev up to higher rpms so that point seems very important to me. A direct comparison by you (1250 vs 1300) would be very much appreciated. And I cannot understand why BMW is not able to engineer a perfect Quickshifter... its a shame !
Getting the Quickshifter right seems to be tricky with shaft drives. But indeed I'd be highly interested to see dyno runs of 1300 vs 1250
Is the quickshifter still working bad at low rpm like in the previous model?
Yes
Thank you.
no bother
The new GS is more sport-touring oriented rather than adventure oriented of previous models
I guess you could say that
is your bike shaking head after 120kmh??? may be your suspension setting is soft or do you have top case???
It did once because I didn't lean forward enough.
La carretera de rellinaaaars oleeee
Weeeee
Awesome video, like always! I have a test ride booked next week. I'm really looking forward. Maybe it will replace my older R1200GS LC. I'm currently struggling to find my next motorcycle to fit me. I'm very happy with the performance of boxer engines but I don't like the sound thou. You @Schaaf have ridden so many bikes, maybe you could help me. I'm looking for a motorbike with "smooth" engine and low-down torque, something similar to what Suzuki Bandit 1250 was, but newer bike. Any suggestion for me to test drive? Best regards and keep posting your great videos! Grüß dich!
Versys 1000 S
@@Schaaf Thank you for your reply. I know this bike exists, but I just never decided to do a test ride, probably due to it looks :)
Thanks for the video. I had the opportunity to test this bike for a day. I agree with your comments. But for me, the 1250 RS is still the better choice for a road like this. What's your opinion on it? I will wait for the 1300 RS. And with some adjustments (tubular handlebar, footrests, windshield...) the RS is the better companion for long-distance rides.
The RT is my favourite for road riding. The RS doesn't handle as nicely as it's sports touring competition therefore I'd go for full comfort when wanting the boxer
@@Schaaf you are absolutely right. But The RT is too big for me (1.74 and 70kg ) So I converted my RS to RT style 😜
Couldn't agree with you more. I feel that I ride the new 1300 with higher tpm, while the 1250 is happier in lower tpm. It's a bit more sportier, but still a GS
Thanks mate
I would like to take a moment to appreciate nice road administration - almost dashed line only. In Poland for example you would only get double solid from the begining till the end of that twisties.
Alright!
I think telelever suspension was good in the past, but now you can get a superb usd suspension also with minimum dive and a lot more feedback and if gs goes into that sports touring direction, it should have it or I hope at least M model will.. and 17 front tyres, but it's very unlikely.
I also can't get use to it how front end looks, I'm sure they could find a better solution for it.
Yea that's true I guess. The Telelever is not THAT necessary any longer
Ilike your videos. You are super..
Thanks
How many bolts in the motor came lose after this run??
Didn't count
So in this general category, what would be your choice to buy a new bike in 2024 For people that like to ride like you do?
MT10
WOW! Not what i was expecting.
You should rename this channel to "Motorcycle Sound Therapy" 😄
do you trust this kind of tyres to send it like that?
they can do much more than that
@@Schaaf mate , your traction /slider light turns on in every corner which means your tyre reach its limit's and the electronics kick in.. nevermind do whatever you want!
push it to the limit @@Original21panos
finally!
Thanks
nice! how is it compared to multistrada v4?
I own both the 1300 (400 miles in) and a pikes peak v4s , the GS DOES NOT COMPARE to the multistrada, the multistrada is a complete beast. The 1300 is quick but also boring. Sterile as schaf put it
@@SP-xd8gs yeah I have a PP too and it looks like multistrada is still the winner
Just watch my Multi videos and judge for yourself ;)
Looks a bit more "strasse" than "gelände" to me, is that so? You think the adventure will be more offroad and less road oriented?
More definitely. But between 1250 and 1300 the Offroad capabilities are similar I think
Hello, when you try the CF MOTO 800 MT Explorer...
Not at all lol
Eargasm ❤
thanks!
Best sounding machine. BMW, Yamaha
I have zero experience with the GS but this looked fun. Boxerwise I'm looking foreward to test the air-/oilcooled 1200 in the R12nineT. Although 149Nm in a naked bike sounds nice too :)
Indeed :D
