Bad Lieutenant formed isNew Orders Bernard Sumner (guitar and vocals) alongside Phil Cunningham (guitar) and Jake Evans (guitar and vocals). Their long awaited debut LP Never Cry Another Tear is set for worldwide release on 5th October 2009 on Triple Echo Records.

I think a true fan of a musician would accept the fact that people have chapters in their lives. You and I do - and Bernard Sumner is no exception. I accept this music for what it is - the art of a group that has the roots of so much musical history entwined in it that it frightens me. Bernard Sumner, and Bad Lieutenant are amazing. They might not have the synth beats and chilling vocals of New Order, but New Order had it's place. Let's all give Bad Lieutenant a chance - For Bernard.

Not sure why so many people dislike this song so much. Some people have to get over the fact that New Order are gone and are NOT coming back. This might not be the best pop song ever written, but it is rather enjoyable. Isn't that good enough? If not, you're looking for something other than music....

It is the Vox Ultrasonic with the onboard fuzz and the palm wah on the guitar, but it's going through massive delay. I'm sure the BJM has played that many times in Melbourne as it was a staple of the set. Though it wasn't part of the set last year when we played there. You're right, it can get pretty epic live...

definitely agree that this isn't New Order. If people love New Order so much, go listen to them. It's obvious that Bernard is maturing as a musician. Of course this is commercial, but as soon as I heard it I knew it had been touched by Bernard. I'm going to buy their album and give it a few listens before I condemn them for one song lol.

If New Order has to not exist anymore, that Bad Lieutenant exists makes that a lot easier to bear.
I notice some similarities to the background and direction with 'love will tear us apart'....This means a lot.They're back.

The source IS When Jokers Attack, Godless by the Dandy Warhols and Hearts Full Of Soul by the Yardbirds are similar but still different, while this is identical to When Jokers Attack

well that's your own opinion and of course you're entitled to it :)
A lot of my argument stems from the fact that I'm a musician and, from a musicians perspective, U2 haven't innovated to a large extend. Of course they've changed to a degree but lets face it - the Edge is still using chorus and delay like it's still 1982. I'm a U2 fan, I think they've done a lot of good to music hey! But I stand by the fact that New Order have changed to a much greater extend :)
