I was about to say the same thing. Jon is one of my fav TH-cam singers (along side Caleb, of course) and I was so sad for him in so many of his videos when he just seemed SO miserable of doing covers and such. At least in this video he seems to be actually really getting into the music.

This hits a bit differently now with Toriyama having passed away... but especially with your voice Jonathan Young... couldn't be more fitting. Dragon Ball Z in itself was a Mesiah, without DBZ there would be no Naruto, One Piece, and so SOOO many other anime with how many people he inspired in the manga and anime industry, even if One Piece is more popular or famous, the reach Dragon Ball had was Superman levels, Spider Man, Herculean. Hell without DBZ journeying to the west (pun not intended but welcomed), getting dubbed... anime would've never left Japan, reached the world, well that and Sailor Moon, without those 2 anime the entire world would be different, that's how big of an impact Dragon Ball and Akira Toriyama had. May you rest in peace you Mesiah, Akira Toriyama, you will be missed, and I can only hope that Dragon Ball finishes in your ideal vision, without too much interference from others. This is really good timing. I just watched DBZA for the first time ever this past week. When this song featured in the show I loved it. And when I discovered that Jonathan Young (of whom I’ve always been a fan along with Hyles) released a cover of it a few days ago, I just about lost it. Keep rockin on Hyles and Young, you guys are the kings of metal covers.

Great cover, I think I still prefer the original TFS version but this is a solid version that's definitely going in my metal playlist
This cover has a very different energy than the one from ep 60, and it does a great job of using that energy to be an amazing song in its own right.
To be fair TFS one is also cover. Original song is in Japanese and played during that scene in original Japanese version of DBZ. Both TFS and Jonathan Young did credit original performer.
