- This metal remix of Day of Fate came out a couple days ago. Once hearing it I knew I had to make this video. Unfortunately some of the cutscenes play music despite my in-game settings having music volume turned off. That's why I had to have the music as loud as it was in some of the scenes, overpowering the characters.
Regardless, I hope you find this music as fitting as I do for this fight. Those few parts that line up perfectly with the music are especially satisfying considering I didn't try to sync up anything to be on-beat other than the beginning of the song as well as the part that cuts to black when Gohan punches the first Cell Jr (I extended the black frames by a split second).

@@thepsychicspoon5984 LOL! But for real though, anger isn't always a bad guy trait, but for Jedi the sad truth is, even if Gohan was one of them and then went Super Sayian 2 and ended the war then and there- i think it's a safe bet to say that they'd condemn him for it.
Unlike the Jedi of the Old Republic who view things under context, the Prequel era Jedi don't care. Anger is Anger and it's bad. Which i cannot begin to emphasise how dumb that is

Great work man. I'm probably reaching, but I'm only now realizing how impactful it was that Piccolo was the first one he saved after he transformed. I can't imagine what Piccolo must have been feeling in that moment after all he experienced watching Gohan grow up.
I'm not sure it was like this in the anime (unsure ?) But if it is, it would be a payback for Saiyan arc then
@@Adem92Foster It kinda is. As Piccolo was the last one Gohan saw get brutally double teamed by two Cell Jr's before fully transforming. And one of the two was the first to die.

The animation from the game coupled with Jonathan Young's cover just make this scene so much more hardcore.

I actually kinda love the choreography, Cell powers up and attempted to deliver a Kamehame and Gohan just kicks upside the head.

God I will never get tired of the timing of when he starts going SSJ2, when he punches the first Jr. and when he goes for the second and third one. Just so well timed.
Even with all this strength, he's tears are still the strongest thing I see.

What annoys me most about this whole fight (in-game) is that they aren't in a desert... The place was literally blasted by the power of their fight. Feels so inaccurate
Man i agree with you, but its not just this game. the budokai games and tenkaichi games also bad this stage have a more grassy look rather than the desert. even fighterZ has the problem after the stage is destroyed
The thing is. To change the landscape, would cost money and time. Which I'm sure CC2 was lacking in both, because of the publishers Namco Bandai.
This game feels very rushed, and I imagine Namco Bandai didn't give them enough money. Anime games tend to have smaller budgets.

Imagine if you could select which score would play during different scenes from the menu or something. I haven't heard the score for final flash in the Japanese version yet, but I have heard Faulkner's and enjoyed it a fair bit. Sometimes the Japanese score fits a scene better then the American one, and vice versa. Idk, it could be a bit too spoilery depending on how they did it. Maybe a new game + feature perhaps? Who knows.

I like how a lot of the attacks look more like the original anime's aesthetic. One of Cell's attacks that I recall XenoVerse doing in a more modern, neon green arc was a bunch of red-orange ki spheres. Nice, it's more nostalgic and feels truer to the setting.

I mean, it makes sense the timing would be good. It's a cover of a cover of a song that was made to go with a different version of this exact scene.

It has been a secret we've all know since Gohan could form words with his mouth. From fights with Raditz, Garlic Jr., The Ginyu Force, and even Frieza himself. And now cell will face off with a warrior that took 11 years in the making. Gohan has awakened.

I write music myself and seeing the original Day Of Fate reimaginef this way is just...perfect, with the gameplay it seriously captures some of the feeling I got the first time I saw Gohan turn SSJ2.

Anyone else feel like it’s a bit of a slap in the face that Gohan can watch all of his friends and his own father (and also Goku) being nearly killed and that won’t send him over the edge but an android that he has come to “know” in the space of MAYBE a few days gets his head crushed and THAT is where he draws the line?
I still hate that fans don't give Kageyama the credit he deserves. For such beautiful music and epic moments.

idk about anyone else, but when i watch this scene in kakarot without day of fate playing in the background, it just feels less intense.
This was pretty cool I'll admit.. Still miss the days where they could show how brutal this fight was.

I loved the buildup to this. Gohan only showed his real strength in small bursts, but he doesn't like fighting as much. In this, he wants to fight and kill a villain, for the first time.
If only this came out before I finished the Cell Saga, it would have been even more epic.

The music in the game does not capture the moment. This is the apex of Dbz/ Gohan. The music does not make my heart beat like Bruce falconer did. This day of fate did, but this shows music is everything in the moment
