This movie deserves another part really. The story, directing, actors performance, and sound track plus effects were mind blowing. Truly underrated movie.
Zack Snyder altogether is very underrated. Watchmen was undeniably the best superhero movie of all time. And Sucker Punch is a masterpiece. I am sure if Nolan didn't show up on the set of Superman we would have had a good movie not the turd that was produced.
Prince Vegeta I knew this movie before but never put my mind to watch it because I thought it was a nearly B rated with almost null international publicity and I've never payed much attention to it anyway...until recently and I must say, I was very much impressed with this movie, this movie was a lot more what trailers showd back when the movie first came out to theatres. This movie actualy had above average cinematic quality and had a good story. I was quite impressed realy!
I saw this film in the theaters when it was first released and people walked out hating it. Ignorance at its best. Twisted story, intertwined timelines, eye candy, strong female characters, suspense and action all rolled into one! Not to mention the KICKASS SOUNDTRACK!!
Snyder does visual spectacular very well, but struggles with a coherent narrative. Sucker Punch was lovely to look at but, unless you were a nerd with backstory to fill in the gaps, you were lost. Snyder writes for nerds only.
I seriously don't get why the movie did bad I mean it was pretty obvious from the advertising. Either you want to see samurai schoolgirls battle Nazi's, and dragons or you don't.
They weren't Nazi Germany in WWI they were just the German Military. Then NAZI political powers took office years later and started WWII. Or something like that.

I love this movie. When I don't have time to watch the actual movie I'll watch this video to remind me why. I wouldn't cange one thing about it. The circumstances at the beginning start to tell the the tale and where it goes is wild and unpredictable. Then there's the visuals, choreography, special effects, and of course the soundtrack.

Sucker Punch movie is like those others such as Van Helsing , Captain Sky and the World of Tommorow , The League of Extroardinary Gentlemen and Iron Sky , Great movie moments and times without being serious something to relax like old '80's action movies, so very popcorn-like + a great art to put a Björk song in a movie , tought she was forgotten . And the scene with the 3 samourais are a reference from 3 things , 1. Arnold Schwarzennegger in Terminator 2 with his heavy gun such as the second samourai is . 2. The three samourais are posing exact the same way as a movie from John Carpenter " Trouble in Little China " starring Kurt Russell and 3. The Red eyes from the evil samourais are like the Demon in a movie called "The Keep" which Scott Glenn had a great role in that movie . Anyway Sucker Punch is not a very teen movie since there are tons references from older movies in it .

This movie deserves a sequel, a spin-off, or a "based off of" continuation. Sorely underrated and highly entertaining. The visuals are awesome, solid characters, and a kick-ass soundtrack. Someone in Hollyweird should do something with this.
They wont because it wasnt a hit but this would make a cool tv series.I dont think its a great film but I do think its pretty good no where near terrible.The film is structured on purpose to be like a anime comic book version of Alice in Wonderland where what really happened is based on your own view of the film.But the female message remains no matter what outcome you go by. You can see it as the main blond girl is actually the sweet pee girl an everything in the film is in her head an we are seeing her escape world that she makes when shes lobotomized.Or everything did happen she did help another girl escape but she got lobotomized.

The beginning is the morgning, the stomp before the lyrics feels like the first morning complain (indeed), then when she was mayhem ...that’s when everything is allowed, till the end when after a big fight with myself the loop restart...I know why the song was written and that this is not even the original version, but I found it so spot on I felt like sharing:-)

studio cut crucial scenes that would have made the movie longer but wouldve helped make sense of the plot and of the visual effects they were seeing,

When Bjork released this song it was so fucking powerful, but it wasn't until this movie that it totally moved my soul. Fuck, that was so mesmerising.
