@itslattice4195 that's a good chunk of time! I live on the west slope of cascades, been exploring over here for years. Once in a while I go out east/southeast of Prineville its really fun out there too. Too many great places in this state to explore in a lifetime. I hope I never get burned out on rockhounding, it's so fun!
What a haul, looks like it was a great day for rocking and hanging with your son. Went hounding yesterday and came back with a nice petrified log. Thanks for sharing, keep rocking 👍

Holy shi......! Man, what a killer spot! Any recommendations for a rockhounding road trip? Ill be up in LaPine for two nights and would love to make it out to someplace like that!
The ochocos have a lot to offer. So does highway 20 east of Bend. Lots of hills to explore out there. All around Prineville reservoir there is opportunity. I usually just pick a block of BLM and go check it out.
Nice finds. Y'all need a mule to help you carry stuff out. Would have been nice to see your finds cleaned up at the end of the video. Maybe a cutting video latter on.
You guys did real good! Love the jasper wood and limbcast! Great agates and crystals too. 👏
Nothing beats exploring the rock paradise that is Oregon 😊
Yeah it was a great day! Been rockhounding Oregon for 25 years and I'm not tired of it yet!

My son was saying we should do the reveal at the end too. Next time! I will clean these up and cut a few for another video.
dang, I'm going to have to make it to the area sometime this year. Got some good spots here near The Dalles but I'm not finding anything that big.
Come on down to Central O. Plenty of big ones to be found!
Man what a banger spot😊
It keeps surprising me. Just never know what will turn up.
I live by cottage Grove Oregon I've found petrified wood in my creek that a beaver chewed on, now I need to find the beaver
Haha
Holy Crow you got 200 more subs in one hour when I refreshed the page.
I wish it changed that fast! Took about 3 weeks for 200
Where is this at?
Crook County
Do u guys do group rock hunts?
Thinking about something like that in the spring.
That big piece at 10:00 would cut a helluva sphere.
Yeah it would be perfect for a big sphere.
Oh yea. @10:00
At 11:30 it appears to be a large piece of agatised wood with a knot.
Probably is. Have to get it cleaned up and check it out.
Hey Jay and Bodie😊
Howdy John!
You need to bring your son with you more often he brings good luck to you 😊
Plus he carries my heavy rocks! I wish our days off lined up more frequently.
@@itslattice4195 Can't wait to see the cuts
At 2:47, maybe fossil bone?
That was my first impression. It's so heavy though. Maybe a bone cast that filled with barite.
You are just going to have to take an alterain wagon with you to haul back all those rocks you keep leaving behind!
Sure would make the hike out easier!
Maybe Barite?
That's exactly what I said about a smaller piece he found earlier. Heavy like Barite.
Please wash the dirty rocks off if you can. Like the ten pound agate.
Definitely. I'll try to get some cut soon so we can see what's in there!
