    Sir it's not very often I offer advise.
    But in that at one time I was a mad scientist rewinder in day gone by I thought a couple of things to make this easier for you.
    You mention balance .
    After you have preped to start the rewind never do it by number of turns . Wind wire onto the armature and then take it off.
    Now measure the wire length and place the exact amount onto each pole .
    This eliminates mis counts and myriad other factors .
    Now after testing the armature for function
    Take and vertically mount 2 razor blade on glass surface using candel wax .
    Using a level set ithis on a level surface .
    Epoxy wire and let dry.
    When accomplished
    Take and the the armature shaft onto the razor blades.
    Let the armature rotate about 10 times and the heave poll will always be the one hanging
    Down.
    Now place armature in a vice and using drill press drill small portion of the metal pole off untill a better balance is created.
    Now you're ready to roll.
    Good luck
    DH.

    Never use a torch or open flame on an armature.
    Small hobby soldering iron appliance and snip the wire from the com tab.
    The hot iron is used only when reattaching wire on the com.
    * Note many of these round motor can designs are press fits.
    On reassemble it many times getting these units to fit together properly is very difficult
    I also advise to mark the cap against a mark on the can so that the motor timing is replicated correctly.
    This is important as it will serve to place the brushes into the correct timing orientation with the Com.

      I use a butane torch with a soldering tip.

      Of course that's acceptable
      Basically I'm referring to an operflame like a small torch which will take and inenerate all the various components and elements due to its nature.
      All components must remain functional after you've performed the operational repairs , rewinds all things that you might address and or eventually place hands upon ..
      #1 rule. If performing any sort activity upon the motor , always make it better , never worse .
      Rule#2 . If it's not broke , then Don't Fix It.
      Rule#3 Always refer to the manual or instructions .
      Rule#4 always save old or broken part for reference And comparison .
      Try and utilize parts Item #s .verify prior to opening any package .
      Rule#5. Use proper tools .
      Don't use a chizzel for a screw driver a wrench for a hammer
      Etc.
      Rule#6 check and double check .
      When utilizing power tools soldering Iron that get hot , or anything that can potentially be dangerous , disconnect from power source and
      Put away correctly...
      Rule#7 Always use safety gear and observe and obey shop rules.
      I mentions this because many times it's young boys/men
      That work on hobby
      Items , and ideally everyone wants a good out come and continued fun.
      If you're a young person reading this and you have a question or need advise all you need do is send me a message and I'm more than happy to try to help you.
      And note
      IN THE CASE OF ANY ACCIDENT , INJURY
      FIRE , SONT HESITATE OR WAIT CALL 911
      IMMEDIATELY . THESE PEOPLE ARE YOUR FRIENDS AND NEVER FEAR THEM . TELL THE THE TRUTH OF WHATS HAPPENING SO THAT THEY CAN HELP OR RESCUE YOU.
      LASTLY BEFORE DOKNG ANYTHING MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PERMISSION FROM YOUR OARENTS PRIOR TO ANYTHING AND THAT THEY MNOW WHATS HAPPENING .
      REGARDS
      DH.

    Hello, can you help I would like to explore cheating in RC racing! The track is racing latrax rally 1/18 scale cars using stock 370 7575R motor. I watched the video and think I understand the procedure but I'm not sure how to figure out what size wire and how to choose the number of turns.
    I think this might be variable and require experimentation but I am curious could you help me know where to get the wire? What wire size I could start with? How many turns you think would be a good starting point?
    The video was really fun to watch and appreciate you sharing information to make playing field more fair!!

      @aloofbit338
      I do not have wire size as a science.
      Carefully unwind the motor. Count the windings. You will have 3 chances.
      You will be using a factory esc for box stock racing. therefore, I would use the very same wire that came off and use 2 fewer windings.
      I.E.
      If the lobes had 44 turns, use 42 turns.
      Experiment with magnets as well.

    Hi.
    Is it possible to change the windings of a 775 brushed motor to spin at 60000 RPM ?

    • @NBC_NCO
      @NBC_NCO  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They make slot car motors that are the same size that will spin that fast.
      The brushes in those are quite a bit better as well.
      So yes, it's possible. It won't last very long, though.

      @@NBC_NCO I would need this much speed to make an experiment with electrostatic fields, ionization and gyroscopic effects.

    • @NBC_NCO
      @NBC_NCO  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@prerupa I wouldn't worry about these cheap toy grade ones and get a slot car motor if you're just making noises of frequencies and things of that nature.

  • @morris4069
    @morris4069 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why bother?
    You said for more speed but the balance issue.
    Then you just said the same thing is available??!!🤦
    Now for a kid that’s learning how things work and just understanding the concept, good project.

    • @NBC_NCO
      @NBC_NCO  ปีที่แล้ว

      When you race in factory stock this is a way to cheat.
      Especially if your factory stock motor is like a 21 turn. Making it a 12 turn will give you an advantage.
      The other reason is if you have to rebuild a motor for a vintage rc car and no hop up options for it.
      I used to purchase old vintage rc cars and throw in modern electronics. The Motors in those are built for longevity not for smiles.
