the longer they babble the guiltier they look and the more they spill. a good story would be short and simple, and you'd have a backup plan to make you look like it was an honest mistake, eg, "my friends had these around as a joke, i drank a bottle of nyquil and tried to pay with one. I feel really stupid, I can just pay them with different bills"
but this whole thing is nonsense from the get-go. Like the whole reason they did an in-town rental on a car is so they could do this all day and not have one of their cars on the camera.
"You're charged for passing a bogus bill"
"I WAS SICK!"

@xkidgey if they've committed a crime, let alone a FEDERAL offense, they do not care if you're sick or not. That is why they ask you if you need medical attention. This cop was just too nice
@Atomzplayz I'm pretty sure they're being sarcastic and facetious.

This liar felt well enough to get dressed, go out, and try to pass off a fake $100 bill.
Those two girls are totally playing her. Conned her into renting a car for them and gave her fake money as payment
Did she mention she was sick? Can't remember.
They came to her house and got her to come along, they rented a vehicle under her name, and they gave her the fake bill to put into her chime account, the blamed everything on her after they found her. Did you have any friends while growing up always insist you do something first? If you get caught then you are on your own. If some thing works then everyone does it behind you.
