    This is the kind of insanity I can get behind. Great stuff.

      Thanks! I finally broke a rear hub today so I'll try to get back out to hit 50mph soon. The insanity will continue!

    Where are you getting wheels/tires?

    • @craziestmonkey

      I am using X Ray M18 foams on the front and 1/12th pan car wheels on the back.
      I got them from amain I believe. I've had them in the spares bin for a while.

      @craziestmonkey thanks man. I've had a hard time finding anything.

      @@manchildrc you're welcome. I was glad I bought them for some testing last year. They work well here. I also saw that some people are developing some foams on stick style wheels that have 7mm hexes instead of the 9mm that the xray wheels have.

    I want one of these idk how to go about building it 😭

      @@TheK20eg I'm working on an adapter kit to run foam tires. Aside from that it depends on how much you actually want to custom make. There are some food combinations out there that will fit easily and get you some good speed.

      @@TheK20eg no worries. Everyone gets busy and YT isn't always the best with notifications.
      As for building one, I know there are some motor mounts for the mini brushless motor setups available. Those motor combos are pushing these to 30/40+
      There are more and more mods coming out for these everyday. I even saw another company making direct fit foam wheel/tires. A lot of it is in "coming soon" status. I recommend checking out the micro b group on fb to stay up to date.

      @@craziestmonkeycan u recommend me a motor mount for the 2430 can size motor that will fit the micro b?

      @@TheK20eg Finally on a computer. It kept giving me an error responding on my phone.
      Anyhow, I don't know anyone else running the larger motors aside from kainrc. It looks like he just bolted a regular mount up through the bottom of the chassis. I ended up "carving" mine from some aluminum with my rotary tool. It was only supposed to fit a 2030 but I accidentally made it a little big. To my surprise that meant the 2430 would fit. I'm working on making everything more easily repeatable. A lot of my prototypes are just hand made or cut. I picked up a second chassis to try to make some mods that will do a lot of the same but work better with the stock layout.

    Whats wrong with that empty parking lot right next to you??

    • @craziestmonkey
      @craziestmonkey  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @206beastman not enough room for these speeds. Lots of bumps. A few storm drains. And it ends with curbs on all sides.
