Why weren’t other members of the public told to leave the leisure centre or whatever it was? They just can’t say one person is trespassing when others are not, given that the festival hadn’t even started. I’m by no means a legal expert, but towards the end it appears the driver of the Range Rover kicks/trips you causing you to fall and damage your equipment. If so, that is criminal damage, he also goes on to physically assault you. The guy in the denim jacket, (Phil) is acting as security and following orders from the guy who assaults you. At no point does he have an SIA badge on display, that’s a custodial sentence right there. If I were you I would be looking to pursue this matter through legal channels; assault, criminal damage, also reporting the two cops for lying to you in regards to the no fly zone. sia rules now dictate that no door supervisor needs to display a badge at any time, it needs to be on your persons so that you are able to provide it on request…. learn the rules and come back

That the police have evidence of your injuries and the damage means it can be used against the security company. You can use their evidence in your civil claim against the security company. £10k at least.

At Reading Festival they (I don't know about know) were pretty much the police, to see a copper in one of their cars was a thing, not a common one. Every time I heard about a security' going to a local court nothing hapend. At Reading the police compound used to be next to our main compound.

The police turned up on the day, so I reported him straight away. The police have my footage and pictures of my injuries and damaged equipment.

@Auditing England. I used to work for Specialized Security in the 2000's. At Reading Festival they (I don't know about know) were pretty much the police, to see a copper in one of their cars was a thing, not a common one. Every time I heard about a security' going to a local court nothing hapend. At Reading the police compound used to be next to our main compound.
Yep, straight to solicitors for this. I wouldn't go for anything small. £10k would suffice for the chasing, the harassment, the threats, the actual physical assault, the fear you felt, etc. As for the police, they didn't do anything really bad, just wrongly stated the law so only a complaint against them.

I love these kinds of videos because it exposes the bullies that have been around forever - in the 80's and 90's, before camera phones, these bully boys were everywhere.
