I love my scooter, but I did buy my scooter for speed. I owned a Yamaha YZF 600 sport bike, which was pretty speedy, before selling it and now have a scooter. The ride quality (back and arms hurt) and storage was terrible to say the least with a sport bike. Scooters should be judged on practicality more so that top speed. Scooter should be evaluated on things like overall cargo space and available options, comfort, exhaust and motor noise, fuel efficiency, cost, reliability, cold weather starting, braking/safety, amenities features.
I have a sym vs 160, basically modified 125. It has 2 brothers pipe sanded back and painted atomic green, holden sports ute/commodore green. gold forks and black rims. Just reconfigured it today to run properly, been stuttering and low speed for months till i managed to retune carb properly. The storage is fantastic on the scooter. i got new michelen tyre i believe they are. the rear is same as stock profile but the front is bigger, clears mudgaurd by millimetres. The profile is different.
You prolly dont care but if you're bored like me atm then you can stream all of the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my brother for the last couple of weeks xD
@Frank Blackcrow SYM is from Taiwan as well as Kymco. SYM is a Kymco knock off that has been in the business a Long time same as Kymco. In fact Kymco used to make all Honda's parts/engines so old Honda's are actually Kymcos. Both Kymco and Sym are half the price of Hondas with the same quality. They are the Go To companies if you can't afford a Honda. I couldn't afford those either so I bought China Dong Fang 150cc scooter. At least it does the 55 mph it's rated at and has quick acceleration. $969.00 New.
that's funny as my Cygnus helmet storage only ever had enough room for a kids helmet, the helmet i use now is only a small nitro but still the lid doesn't close, im not hating on the bike, just it could've done with more space under there

I have a SYM 250iGTS and i love it. It's got loads of space, i can get my helmet, jacket and a mid sized back pack under the seat with room to spare and being a 250cc it has no trouble keeping up with normal motorbikes of a similar cc rating.
it's a shame they only got one vid... i've owed both cpi and CygnusX the cpi tried to kill me quite often and has reliability issues. the yamaha is working fine thus far... but it is a 2011 bike.. so i'm going to see how it runs in a year
@sandes1988 Im a 5'3 female and I have a full face helmet and I actually dont have a big head...I find that myhelmet (full face) fits in very awkwardly. I can close it but just and it takes a lot of positioning with ther helmet to make the seat latch

That broke out a grin. Didn't see that coming. The essence of comedy is to get a zinger in there your audience never sees coming, and he pulled it off. A lot better than the bulk of other reviewers.
@Sosnowieca Hi mate. One year later, we still love the Sym. FANTASTIC storage, and I can get it up to 100kph. I really enjoy riding it when I get home. The wife rides it regularly. Access to the engine - Battery is difficult though from my experience. My only gripe. Ride safe mate.
about the small wheels, i hate scooter with small wheels. I'm used driving a honda X8R-S with i believe 14" wheels. I ram it trough the corners with ease, and love it. I once drove a keeway flash with very tiny wheels, did the same corner, almoast crashed xp (i was builing the keeway up for selling it again)

The whole time I was waiting for a Genuine to be showcased and it NEVER appeared!!! I LOVE my Buddy 125 (aka Baby Blue), it keeps up with my husband's Vespa ET4 150 :)

I want comfort and enough power to keep-up w/traffic!)You can 'poke fun' at scooters all you want...but the 'Vespa' saved Italy's economy after WW2 by making cheap, rugged transport available that could handle poor or no roads, and could run for days on little fuel.The same is true for the 'Honda Cub' and 'Super Cub'...both of which 'jump-started' Japan's moribund economy from almost nothing to be the World's leader in two-wheel transport export...even now!(the 'Cub' is the best-selling motor- vehicle of 'all-time' and rightfully so...I had one and beat the crap out of it, and it ran no matter what! The 'Cub' is as tough as a 'three-penny nail')
Wow, that CPI seems .... pointless. A brilliant combination of a scooter's puny motor coupled with a sportbike's complete lack of storage. But hey, at least it has fake carbon fiber, right? =P
2 stroke engine scooters are fast at speed-up, however, the burnt oil will block the exhaustion pipe. Meanwhile, 2 stroke engines are hard to start if you don't ride it for few days because the engine oil is heavier than gasoline and tend to sink at the bottom of combustion chamber causing inappropriate gas/oil ratio. You have to rev it hard after started it to burn the excessive oil.
Damn funny video. But you left me wanting. No PCX150? And what's with calling 100-150 scooters 'mid size'? Mid size is 300-400 cc. Come on! Anyway thanks for a very funny video.
My guess is that you got better each time you road the coarse hence the better time each time!!! There is no biggie significant difference 1 or 2 seconds???? Soo what!!

I do not understand here in Canada with a PGO T-Rex 50cc 2 stroke we are doing 78KM/hr easy ???? Yamaha BWS 80 KM/hr
