You figured out how to save the unusual fabric print placement! It was a bit of a miracle! Love that you chuckled about where to place those those huge circles! A fun video for sure.
Absolutely love, love, love the matching outfit; very chic. You have great options with the two tops. Over the past couple of years I have been noticing the matchi-matchi looks on runways. The look was here over 30 years ago.....what was old is new again. Never stopped making the "look". I especially love it in evening wear although given the prints and fabric, can be very interesting in day wear. Keep on....keeping on.
Oh thank you so much!! I love your comment as I agree totally with it! I’m actually getting a lot of wear out of it and am planning plenty more, that’s one of the many fantastic things about sewing, we can make matching sets of everything! Thank you so much. 😊
I love watching your videos Sarah and seeing your thought processes and "dissections". As quite a new sewer it makes me "take the leap" more and not wait until everything is perfect. Your vids have given me permission to "test drive" more and not be so precious about fabric. As someone with a science background you would think I would know this already. 😂🤣
Ah thank you so much, what lovely comment! Yes definitely go for it (but not with the expensive fabric! 🫣😂). That’s why I toile so much to give me the confidence to use the nice fabric!! Happy sewing! 🥰
The pattern on that fabric is so abstract you could start cutting anywhere! 😍 the set came out beautifully! I’m inspired to make a set with two patterns and some fabric in my stash.
Is is weird that I found myself talking back to you and answering your questions? I love how the pants came out. They look awesome. The whole outfit is lovely. Looks like you had so much fun putting it together. I wanted to see it tucked in so it looked more like a faux jumpsuit. Thanks for sharing.
Ah that’s made me laugh! Sounds like I could do with you in my sewing room with me! 😅🥰. Yes sorry I totally forgot to try it tucked in, although to be honest it’s far more flattering out as the pants are very high waisted! 🫣😂
What an unusual fabric Love what you made, all the combinations look really cool. I’m definitely going to take a look at the pomona pants sometime too. I like the idea of no side seams in a floaty pair of summer trousers 😊
Love your co-ord set, great pattern placement that you can wear anywhere. Can’t believe you had enough to make an Ogden cami, looks fabulous, I am off to make an Ogden cami now ❤
Love your outfit! Was really interesting to hear your process for pattern placement and then to see what shapes appeared on the final piece of clothing. I especially love the placements on the pants and cami top
Always true to your own style Sarah and hats off for eeeking out all those items from the fabric. They will be really perfect for a holiday but just as wearable at home too.
LOVE everything you made from this stunning fabric! 👏👏👏 And the plain top to go with it! I always fall for this type of big abstract patterns, it’s like a piece of art, and the colours in your’s is fantastic, right up my street. My husband also likes patterns like this and I always search for cotton jersey for T-shirts for him. I have sewn several so far for him, using my self drafted pattern as he is a tall big guy. I find myself faffing as much as you did with the placement of the pattern pieces so it will look good and that the sleeves match the bodice both front and back. Much fun though and he loves his special T-shirts!
Thank you so much!! Yes I also love any fabric which looks like artwork. Your husbands t shirts sound amazingly unique, he’s lucky to have you make them for him!! 🥰
I love this, or should I say these, "jumpsuits"! They look fantastic on you. Making up a couple of summer co-ords is a goal for me this spring, doubt I'll find as beautiful a fabric though 😍 I will have to check out the Naya T and Ogden cami as they look like a great place to start for the top half.
I think your outfits look great, and the colours really suit you. It was interesting to see your thought process with the pattern placement of the fabric 😊
Hi, thank you!! I’ve made the safiya overalls a few years ago. From what I remember the trousers have a flat front and elasticated back. The elastic is also narrower. If you already have that pattern then there’s maybe not a huge amount of difference. The main difference I think is that the pomonas don’t have a side seam and they are higher waisted with 2 inch elastic. Hope that helps!
You done an amazing job all your makes are fab ....can I ask ..do you make the Naya t-shirt in woven fabric ...I have purchased both the Naya t shirt and the LB pullover after watching your channel and have made the Naya t shirt in stretch fabric as pattern suggests but I have double gauze fabric and considered making it in do you think it would work 🤔🤔
Ah thank you!!! Yes absolutely the Naya works in a woven and will look amazing in double gauze, I have a plan for one in double gauze actually! Just be aware that if you make it in a woven you may need to size up as there is no stretch. I didn’t size up as I’d made my jersey Naya oversized anyway, but just bear it in mind!

😂 thank you, it was a challenge, but worth it as I’ve had plenty of wear out of that unusual set!
Wow all three outfits look fabulous. The trousers are just great ❤
When you said you saw owl eyes - I saw a slice of kiwi 😂 how funny!!! Xx
😂 yes there are definitely kiwis and aliens and owls in it 🫣😂.
Beautiful! So striking, and not too much at all. It's really joyful with those colors.
Ah thank you so much!! 😊
Absolutely win 🎉. Love all those outfits. Certainly not for holidays only. Enjoy wearing
Ah thank you!! I’m wearing it today actually 😂. I’ve got used to the mad print already 🧡
Gorgeous print! Well done for using every scrap! Might have just bought the Pomona pattern!

The pattern on that fabric is so abstract you could start cutting anywhere! 😍 the set came out beautifully! I’m inspired to make a set with two patterns and some fabric in my stash.
Ah yes go for it!! I can’t stop making matching sets now, but actually they are really useful!!
Wow you did so well with that fabric. It looks so great… I’ve never seen fabric like it!!!
Thank you, it’s a bit wierd and wonderful! 😂
Sterling job! All 3 pieces look incredible. Well done with the pattern placement.

Absolutely 1st Class! You make me want to be braver with fabric choices… once I sew through my stash 😜😍💕
Ah thanks Julie, yes go for it, although I also know what it’s like to have a stash which gets in the way! 🫣😂
What a fabulous outfit Sarah, your fabric is terrific and it was great to see you managed to use all of it. Well done.🧵🪡🇦🇺
Ah thank you so much, I’m sure I’ll get loads of wear from it!
What an unusual fabric

I think your outfits look great, and the colours really suit you. It was interesting to see your thought process with the pattern placement of the fabric 😊
Thank you so much 😊
Absolutely amazing, all the combos looked wonderful 👏👏
Oh that’s so kind thank you!! ☺️
Love it!!!
Thank you!
Looks fantastic ❤ oh dear looks like I need to make some pomona trousers 😅 does the waistband sit quite flat or is it quite gathered?
😂 of course you will!! It’s a mix of both flat and gathered if that makes sense. Not too gathered but not as flat as the derwbets
Hi Sarah! Do you happen to know the difference between the Pomona pants and the TATB Safiya trousers? Love the combinations you've made!
Hi, thank you!! I’ve made the safiya overalls a few years ago. From what I remember the trousers have a flat front and elasticated back. The elastic is also narrower.
