      Same. Me too. I also don't get tired of doing different hair types and textures. Every single person has their own unique way henna and the treatments work and absorb on their hair.

    I love the "messiness" of henna, it's actually a great sensory experience for me. Thank you for the reminder that for greys saturate thickly those areas for coverage, I have had that issue before.

    8:36 That's exactly the brand and colour that I've been using but I can't find any info on where it's sourced from and was looking to switch to Henna Sooq. It says made in usa on the box but we know that can't be right and it must just be packaged in the usa, but where is the henna from, who knows? I love it though and after using it for so long the length of my hair is a dark auburn but the roots are coppery where the grey is, almost looks highlighted on purpose, lol. My natural colour is a dark blonde.

    In 1973, I was taught this way to use Henna by North Africans... I colored my own very long naturally dark blonde hair with pure natural henna powder for 25 years after a visit to Morocco where all the women use henna for the red tone it gives as well as the conditioning element... but... I have yet to find a single video that explains the correct way to use henna powder... You do not mix it with just water... You use at least two raw eggs and a bit of water to mix into the pure henna... never use a henna that is not pure,it needs to be without any dyes in it... You need to keep the henna on your hair for a minimum of three hours, otherwise you won't get a strong color. I never had my henna fade in 25 years though, of course I had to color the roots when they grew out too much. I really miss my henna hair and have been looking for a wig in that color, but can't even find one. I am going to try coloring a human hair wig with natural henna powder to see if I can get my auburn hair back that I have missed since my own hair turned pure white... Henna does not give a nice result on white hair as it turns bright orange instead of bright Auburn. To prevent dryness you soak your hair in pure virgin olive oil overnight whenever you may need to... Using the eggs also prevents dryness using henna. I never used gloves, ever.

      there are just so amazing beautiful ways to use henna. There really is no wrong way that would be bad per se but it's just a matter of using it in the way that responds best for your hair. So we do keep it simple on purpose. It doesn't mean more ingredients can't be added. Traditional methods also aren't really practical in a professional setting so there are so many reason and variations to fit the person and fit the space. Like eggs can be amazing for sure, and it's a lot of protein but for someone who is protein sensitive that probably won't be a good fit for them. Eggs also can't be used in the salon setting, it's just not sanitary and state regulations wouldn't allow it. At the end of the day, we just want all people, all hair types, and textures to have the best and most luxurious henna experience.

      @@HennaSooq Thank you for your response. I did not realize that Henna is being used in salons. I live on Vancouver Island. I never even knew of anyone other than myself who used Henna for the beautiful red color it gave to my natural dark blonde hair. I really miss my red hair now that my own bio hair has turned white. I used to live in Spain and went often to Morocco, so that is where I first saw Henna being used. I am now losing my own bio-hair and I was looking for a wig with the Henna red color but can't find one so I have ordered a human hair wig that I am going to attempt to color with henna myself... it will be an interesting experiment.

      Also there is no right way as wherever the henna plant grows the people do it differently. For example on Algeria we do it with rose water for a nice smell. Tunisians do it differently, Libyans, Indian, bengalis, somali, saudi etc.

    Hey! I had naturally light brown hair and I’ve trying to color it black. I first tried the color “black” from kadhi but it turned out as a dark brown. As I have now discovered the two step process using henna and then indigo I want to do it. But will the remaining Khadi color in my hair affect the result/process? I would leave the henna and the indigo in my hair for 4 hours as I want the black be as dark as possible

    @HennaSooq I found a hair parlor that does henna for grays, they said.. the thing is, I'm skeptical because I asked how long will the process take and they told me an hour. Something seems wrong wit that to me, I'm thinking that's too little time.. Am I wrong for think that?

    Can I use fenugreek powder with my henna mix for my hair ? Does it dye your hair or is it like a benifit like aloe vera powder ?

    • @HennaSooq
      @HennaSooq  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes you can but it will affect the color as fenugreek expands a lot. It has it's own benefits as does aloe but both are moisturizing. Just note it'll reduce your color outcome when fenugreek is added to your henna.

      That's the only drawback with using henna to color your eyebrows is that there must be some hair there. It's a common question to ask if you draw them on with henna but it doesn't last nor stain well on thin skin.
