The flash of emotion is so relatable, but also, a lot of the people I’m around know I’m deaf. I consistently ask whoever I’m in a conversation with to be patient with me. For me, I hate seeing people look like they’re defeated when I’m not understanding what they’re saying. I think it takes patience on both sides of the convo.

I absolutely agree! I still remember the first time someone was dismissive and stormed off from me after I had difficulty making out what they were saying. I was so heart broken.
