    I haven"t indulged in 3d in a long time but ne of my friends asked me for a render today for his website project and I found your channel while scrolling through tutorials. I think this is the first time I have genuinely been entertained by a blender video. I really hope (and believe) that your channel will grow if you keep going like that. +1 sub

    I started using Blender cause I needed 3D solar panel images for my now-dead website. I used Eevee first cause I was working on Intel UHD 630 graphics. I also rendered some amazing still images overnight with cycles on the internal graphics. I also earned my first 1k USD on upwork with internal graphics. And I'm sure the 3D masterminds of today started their journey with very low specs than me and most of us.

    I don't think paid courses are needed, personally. I think what's important is a good community to give you direction; For me, I joined a skyrim modding server that was teaching these 3D skills in the context of game design, and I branched out from there to learn stuff that never comes up in modding (Compositing, rendering, animated videos, etc) because I was interested in them.

    I'll say that your model is, quite frankly, creepy to me. I wouldn't change it as you're standing out in my mind! ^^
    Also, I like how you got the big jokes out of the way to address the questions fairly, calmly, and with the weight they deserved.
    The awakred laugh at the question of "Why does my render looks worse and worse the more I work on them?" both hurts and I feel deeply.
    I think the blender guru addressed the question of "how do I get feed back" and his point is just like yours. His answer was "People don't always know why something is off and will just come up with things to fix it without knowing what is wrong. I take the information of what is wrong and move on that." The video was him building a house in the middle of the woods and the question was the road felt off to people.
    To add to your "Where do I start": Learn from different "masters" that way you aren't just a copy of that one teacher, and you pick up all the little tricks along the way.
    I have to say, for me, the biggest thing to take away from this fun video of yours, is that if you aren't enjoying working with blender after getting some of the basics down packed... then maybe look into something else to work with. If you aren't enjoying the tool to make the art you want then it might not be that you are a bad artist but the tool just doesn't gel with your mind. If the steps to making the art is what annoys you, then maybe being the "go to" guy isn't for you. Pitch ideas to other artist and see if that's more you speed.
    I've learned that saying someone is or is not an "artist" is too broad a term these days. Some love making things come to life with animation, some love making surreal landscapes, others love making living still "photos" and yet others love coming up with ideas but can't really put them into the world. They, and by extension we, are all artists in our own right. If you aren't enjoying the art, try something new.
    OH, last thing before I go about my day, burn out/writers block is a real thing that even artists get. Take the time to rest between projects and allow your mind to think of other things. You can't learn if your mind is fried. XD

    One other recommendation for people with low-end hardware is free online render farms. Back before I upgraded my computer, I used SheepIt which is a free community-powered render farm for blender. It allowed me to do SOOO much more than I would have otherwise!

    • @stache_obj
      @stache_obj  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is way too subjective a question. Depends on what level you are. What the client is like. What kind of work it is. Depends on a lot of things. The only thing I can tell you is - it is worth charging 1000$ to one client than charging 50$ to 10 clients
