Aona, I'm currently in a MS HCI program at DePaul University and I have been trying to decide if I wanted to do design or research. After taking a couple of research classes, it has become very clear to me that UXR is the path for me. There is so much design content on TH-cam, but sadly not as much research content and advice. I'm a UX-designer at a company where the awareness of user experience is fairly low, and research is often not prioritized even if we recommend it strongly to stakeholders. I'd love to focus more on research in the future, in another role.
Coming back to review your old vids and noticed that you used to speed up your videos a little bit in the past (I might be wrong?). I adore how you are keeping a normal pace (x1.0) in your recent videos ☺️. So soothing and easy to follow!
I can't find what it actually looks like. Like I can't even imagine it. Like day-to-day is different, but what's the flow? Is there no set procedure/schedule? Like spell it out beginning to end, if that's how things go.

As a UX Researcher wonder if you would recommend to have a 14inch or 16inch laptop to work on when doing a daily tasks, such as conducting or analysing the research? 🌻
Can I become a Ux researcher with statistics bachelor degree and ux bootcamp only ? most of the job requires master or phd. I'm not sure if it will be hard for me to be able find my first entry level job.

Ummmm... UX research & Innovation Design, Service Design, is there a clear line?
When you did the Disney internship, were there professional UXR's to learn from? Were you the only UXR intern?
I was the only one at the time at that office - but i do have managers and mentors who do lots of research :)
I'm confused with Tip #1. How would you get an internship if you are not prepared?? You have to be super lucky to get that...
