I use a portable skill saw, do you find the saw is easier. We are working on older houses with strapping, the Saw is harder to use. What is your take on this? I caulk the top and sides just in case. Note people often stand on these vents over the course of 20 years. Painter are the worst. DONT WALK ON ROOF WHEN HOT TOO. I use a hose to keep my Roof cool and employees too. Make a huge difference in quality. Try to do this early in morning, This is important and keep painters off the roof in hot weather too. Experience has taught me this.
Excellent video. If you need room to nail, use a friend to help, or use any old tool to make room. BEND Shinglers slowly. WATCH ICE. Caulk the side where the roof meet the metal and the top. Some people are against this, but it is really beneficial on low slope or areas that get garbage or ice/snow. ICE DAMS. I nail the metal in front. WInd and heat cause the nails to losen up over twenty years. Screws are nicer. CHECK every ten years because these things losen up and fly off in heavy wind, Raccoons and Beavers too. The Beaver part is BS, but sounds cool.
Precision installation
Great content, thank you.
Thank you, Brother! Much appreciated!
Fantastic job, especially with those old and brittle shingles. Thank you.
Nice job on the video and great tips too.
Thank you for this! Do you have a video that shows the installation of the vent duct inside the wall?
Thanks for the video. You are great at this. Very good instructions and explanation of what you do and why.
Nice job!
That would have taken me hours to do.
Good work bud!
i usually put blue tape on the caulk so it can last longer or a nail or screw works too and only the top will be dry
A 13” duckbill tinner snips is way better than a hook blade, they will cut shingles for years even when a little dull, much more controlled.
Another great video. thanks.
Nice, much better than venting the dryer through the box vent!
I appreciate your tips!
This has been great weather to work on a roof the past couple of weeks in central Indiana.
AshSHSHSHHHHHHH YOU KNOW HOW THIS WORKS! The Autumn Winter Gods are listening!
Sorry to ask, but how long left inthat roof? Thanks

A pilot hole then the usage of a whole saw would much more professional
Did you eat your frosted critical wheats this morning?
Should have asked this a long time ago what brand of hatchet is that?
AJC
Why have those shingles not sealed. I live in the northeast and that would never happen
