- Whimsy is a White Swiss Shepherd who is obsessed with riding on the back of her family motorbike. They travel the world, go camping and people are always gobsmacked when they see her riding. Jessica had lost her previous dog, Moxie who also used to ride, so when Whimsy joined her pack, she filled a void that Jessica was missing. Now her and Whimsy spend their days on the open road, living their best lives.

Good day and greetings from Germany. I had two big whites (one after the other) and was happy with them. For us, it wasn't the motorcycle, but the sailboat. We sailed my Zeesen boat around the Baltic Sea.
Every death of the beloved dog is a loss. And again and again you will be reminded of him. Mine turned 14 and 12 years old. Beautiful years. Whimsy and the joy she brings you will make you forget the loss. What remains are the beautiful moments you had.
Great story. Wish I was strong enough to take on a new pet. But after loosing my bud (Marley). Me & both my sons had been hit so hard. We couldn't bare replaced him. He was the center of our lil family.....But am so glad to see other people really go out of their way to show their pets love. That's genuine good people there.

My dad had a German Shepherd in 1950s and he rode on the motorcycle with him. He was sitting behind my dad and holding on to his waist - like a human would. No goggles, no safety belt... nothing...his hair blowing in the wind....
You've taken great safety precautions to protect your dogs when riding your motorcycle and you are to be commended for that. Sorry about you loss of Moxie, but Whimsy was destined to fill that hole in your heart with the passing of Moxie. I always give thanks to God for bringing all the pets I have had into my life. Each and everyone enriched my life and made me a more caring person.

I LOVE THIS! I used to live in Panajachel Guatemala and knew Jessica and Moxie and was there back in 2022 when they left to ride around the world. I was so sad to hear the passing of Moxie when I saw them after they came back. I'm so glad she found another dog and is back to riding all over the place.

In my motorcycle adventures I have seen and known many bikers that have dogs that ride with them. Some dogs ride in specially built carriers on the motorcycles.

I had a Goldwing that I took the lid off the rear trunk, and my little weiner dog mutt had plenty of room in it, just like riding in a pickup. He'd stay in it when I parked, I never had any issues, other than laughter from other motorists! I also had a pittie mix that'd ride in front, between my arms, on the tank, he got so he would pre emptively start to lean into a curve as he saw them coming, he had perfect balance.

Whimsy needs a helmet, the same way you do. I'm sure that you can find one that will fit her. The companies that make prosthetics for animals will make you one, I expect, if doggie helmets are not available for purchase. Would you let another adult or a child ride behind you without a helmet? No, of course not. If you love Whimsy, you will purchase a helmet for her.

There's an Indian guy who rides with his German shepherd dog. He doesn't use a harness. Because dogs are so instinctive that if that dog senses the bike going off balance or anything of that sort he jumps off. You can check out their channel which goes by the name - the banjaara boy. Your dog is so cute. I think she has learnt to balance herself on a speedy bike very well by now. You should not use a harness so that she can protect herself in a bad situation. No hate, just saying out of love for animals.

Caution: Rimadyl an anti inflammatory drug, can be dangerous. One of my dogs had a bad reaction. And then years later the vet gave my other dog the same with a 2 page disclosure. I turned my car around and returned it because of the danger.
