Great video. They have a nice selection of Acorn machines, the BBC Micro, BBC Master, Acorn A3010 and a RiscPC. The Acorn A3010 has the ARM250 CPU which started the collaboration between Acorn, ARM and Apple.
Definitely a "low barrier" to the exhibits. I dont know if you can tell from his video, but the museum is adjacent to the cube farm for their very successful consulting business. It is a very casual vibe in there, and definitely worth the trip!
Thanks for the video Chris!!! I really enjoyed it while I was sitting here eating my breakfast which consisted of grits, scrambled cheese and eggs, sausages, blueberry waffles, and coffee. Man, that was a good Saturday morning breakfast!! :-) Now I am going to watch this video a second time to see what I might have not seen because of eating my breakfast ... LOL ... :-) Have a great day Chris and enjoy the weekend!! :-) -Melvin - Saturday, March 05, 2022 - 10:36 AM Mountain Time - Eastern Colorado Springs, Colorado 49 F degrees
Great video, Chris! Seeing all those old computers in one place is amazing. If I ever get a chance to head out there, I'll be sure to look this place up. Thanks for sharing!
Glad to see someone make such a nice video about an awesome place! You took all the videos and pictures I SHOULD have taken when I recently went, but I was so busy learning I found myself forgetting to take pictures!! I agree so much that this is a MUST see if you can make it.. They were so accommodating when I went a few months ago, and it looks like they've gotten a bit more on display already!! I'll have to go back!
Nice video there Chris, I spotted that SGI Tezro on a trolley in reception at the beginning of the video, so I was hoping there would be more SGI kit as the video went on I was not disappointed. I was surprised to see how many British computers where there. I expected to see at least the Timex version of the Sinclair machines but the BBC Micro, and the later Acorn ARM based machines like the Risc PC was a pleasant surprise.
It's in with the laserdisc exhibit. I see they also have the chunky IBM Displaywriter and a Datamaster, the general purpose "PC" which preceded the 5150. Actually I think they have all three of the IBM "personal computers" that preceded the PC. Unless that one was an HP.
Love the prison TV displayed with the Apple I and II machines!
Haha, absolutely! One of these days, you will have to make the journey down here and see this place!!
Awesome video, Chris!! What a cool place.
Thank you! Yes, this place is totally worth a visit!!
thanks for the tour!
You bet! It's a great place.

Thank you! Good info there, I'm not too familiar with the Acorn line, so this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
Great video as usual, Chris!
Thank you! This one was fun to make!
Awesome, Chris! Thanks for sharing this - I wish I could have gone there with you!
That would have been a blast, you would love it!
Wow, just wow, I'd love to go through these systems and refresh my memories of the systems from my past. I know I'm old.Lol
Lots of great systems there!
This was a great overview of a great museum. Had no idea this existed. Low barrier to the exhibits, lots of variety and some unique pieces. Nice!
Thank you! It's a great museum!

Yes!! They have a lot of cool PCs from across the world!! That SGI Tezro was a donation that someone made that very day!!
Man what an awesome video for people like me who can't go in person!
Glad you enjoyed it! It's quite the place. When I return next, I'll have to capture some of the other rooms there too!!
At around 8:00 you asked if we could name the IBM systems. From left to right they are a 5100, a Displaywriter and a 5120
Thank you!
A Selectavision CED player 😃
Ah, was that in the video? Cool!
