Just gonna swap them from the blu ray case to my dvd cases in the intelligently designed b5 dvd box. Way better, will eventually buy dvd cases that have 4 disc capacity so it looks nice & neat.
Same here...got my set this week and hate tha clamshell case...the USA release has the in book style flip cases, but still, dont care for the clamshell. At least the new "Farscape" and "The Expanse" bluray sets has each season on seperate cases.
Yeah glad I saw this unboxing before I stumped up £70. That packaging is BLOODY ATROCIOUS!! especially considering the premium price point. Should've come in 5 separate amaray cases inside the slip box. I'll be waiting for a deep sale on this before buying
I’ll be keeping the excellent complete series on DVD. Apart from the HD upgrade this set is worse in every respect: cheap and nasty packaging, and worse of all no special features. A real missed opportunity.

I don't think we should complain too much about the packaging, yes I got a creased box and one loose disc but we are getting all 5 seasons here at just £14 per season. When the dvd sets first came out they were £30-40 each. £70 is a great price for 5 seasons, The Six Million Dollar Man was £200 for 5 seasons.
Ive had my set since Monday and 5 disks had come loose and were floating around the box, got to say I was pretty cross with the state of this, I think this is the worst packaged set Ive ever seen, I'm seriously tempted to use the packaging from my DVD sets and swap them around putting the dvds in this blu ray set , they will be much safer and will also look much better.
That’s what I’ve done. I swapped the discs and now have the blu rays in the dvd cases. It’s way better because there’s a box for each season and one for The Gathering. I’ve never had to do this what a mess up by Warner bros.

I don’t usually buy digital but would recommend doing so in this case! (Pun). I have the B5 Ultimate DVD collection from 2007 and that is one of the highest quality box sets I have ever owned.
Just got mine this morning. Back of the box creased and crap stacked case. Just a note on The Gathering, it is standard def (which we knew) but it has been blown up to 16:9 and looks absolutely terrible. Hold on to your 4:3 dvd.

There’s an audio language option. But English is the only option in the menu. At least in my copy in Canada. They’re super cheaply made. The packaging is very slightly better than the UK packaging (similar but more plastic pages to not have stacked discs), but discs can’t even be bothered with more than one colour of ink (just black, not even white ink for the text). I love B5 and I’m thrilled to get a physical copy of the remaster, but this is a very disappointing release.
After years and years of giving up hope this would ever see the light of day, I’m happy with it. In order to achieve the letterbox frame they’d have to spend millions completely redoing every single effect. Never gonna happen. So if 4:3 is all we will get on Blu, then so be it. At least the effects shots won’t be pushed in and the quality worse than Betamax this time.
I am watching the series right now on bluray, season 1 disc 4 is not in order and they don't list the episode names when you replay it, insanity to make such a mistake.
got this yesterday, discs were loose, so not a fan of the way its been packaged...would rather have had seperate cases tbh. I also didnt know that it wasnt 16.9 and only 4.3, although it was shot widescreen safe, so not a deal breaker...
Just had mine delivered on Monday evening. Like yours there were a lot of loose disks but there was no damage to the case. I'm not sure what to expect with my picture quality though, I only have a PS5 to play Blu-rays and it's looking very grainy. CGI scenes look fine though.
@@robertt9342 It's because they are just stretching the image most likely. That's why I bought the DVD box set again last month, because it was only $100 for all 5 seasons and all the movies, plus the Crusade series as well all in one neat box. And they all have their own case as well. I've never had a problem with 4:3 screen, as long as your picture settings are good. My DVD's look perfect on my 4K TV in 480p.
If you hate the packaging,just transfer the discs in a DVD wallet.Prevents scratches and it is easy to access discs.Of course you would only miss the Blu-Ray set if it would have been done better.
It's CRAP! I got it. The packaging is cheap, discs stacked on top of each other, and all it is is just a bluray transfer of the standard Def you see on the dvds. Massive disappointment! And it's NOT complete. It doesn't include the movies!
It’s better quality than the dvds.The live-action scenes are remastered in HD, the CG-animated scenes are upconverted. Also the screen ratio is 4:3, so it’s not as badly cropped as the dvds.

This was really cheap effort. I was hoping for a mini full color booklet, patches, stickers or something extra in the case.

No. It's just the standard def transferred to bluray. It looks no better than the dvds.
I haven’t gotten a chance to play mine yet but if this is true, it feels like a ripoff and I’ll be returning mine
Edit: it’s the same remaster as the HBO Max version, so most live action scenes are HD but the CGI isn’t. Which makes sense

Got this case an i was really dissapointed in the cheap disk holders it came with 100 bucks couldve had a better disk holder..
Twilight Zone is exactly like this. I ended up putting the discs in DVD wallet/case.

Interesting, my interior is done slightly different and the discs on line are black instead of blue. Still terrible packaging though.

My box cover of the case arrived ripped and discs falling out when I opened the jumbo case. Disappointing.

Yes. At the very end of the video. After I’ve gone through the discs. They stuck it at the very end of a very horrible box set.
