My GRE score for John Jay was off by 4 points!!! 😂 I ended up getting into Queens College, also a CUNY school. Queens College doesn’t have the focus in forensics though and it’s a more mainstream take on clinical mental health counseling
@@20SomethingsCareerStories I’m really enjoying it! I start my 3rd and final year in the fall. The way it’s set up we get to know a lot of the other students so we support one another. The faculty is really small so we get to develop relationships with them. I’m currently interning at a private practice providing tele-health services and I love it. I might move out of state so I’m looking into other states’ licensing processes. Overall very exciting!

As someone that is gonna study to become an LMFT (hopefully starting school next year). You can get certified in addictions counseling, military counseling, certain kind of therapy that need training, being certified as child custody evaluator, forensic mental health evaluator and etc. But it depends on your area of interested.

can i pursue LMHC from sociology!? I want to do master in mental health counselor but i majored in sociology during my bachelor..psychology and sociology were also my subject in 11th and 12 th class!! Plz help if u know
