This scene perfectly represents how unpredictable and a great escapist Jack Sparrow is. Too bad he doesn’t really have a motive in the rest of the movie though.
@@iam_T53 no, the events of pirates take place around the 1750s, considering the geopolitical situation regarding the east india trade company, spanish and english naval rivalry, and on top of that they just escaped from King George II's palace, who ruled betwen 1720 to 1760. Thus, the events take place in the middle of the 18th century. (Also the use of compass and exsistence of mass warships such as the dauntless, the providence, the endeavour, the Pearl etc.)
@@Killerbee4712 I'm not denying what you've just told me, but we know that the timeline isn't historically accurate. And the film creators are just piecing odd bits of historical information to create a realistic story.
@@iam_T53 Yeah, but from the stuff we do know exists, your time is off. For example, we are positive King George the II existed in this world, thus the timeframe must be between 1720-1760. Thus, you saying mid 17th century is just incorrect. But I understand your confusion, no worries mate.
Wow, randomly stumbled upon one of your older videos and then saw you were still posting at a frequent. What surprised me is the fact they use this song on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream cruise ships.

7:30 Carriage chase / Hard to Starboard
7:36 still searching for the original version of this, cause I also heard it during the Pearl's escape from the Dutchman in DMC
I think that's part of Davy Jones' theme, which is odd because he's not in this movie.
This is called "Davy Jones Ship to Ship" from Dead Mans Chest
Here's the video th-cam.com/video/DcMotnZ5PK0/w-d-xo.html
