Gaius is underrated. Super staisfying moveset and his charge isn’t too hard to dodge with medium roll if you go forward and to the side. Wish he had a unique soundtrack though. Solid b tier boss imo
I agree on that rank. I dont hate him as much as I did my first time. I still think his charge hitbox is too big and he also shouldnt be able to hit you twice on certain attacks. Other than that, hes not that bad
Nope, overrated as hell. Worst boss in the dlc by far. Also his charge is completely random so idk what you’re on about, its hitbox literally makes zero sense. His moveset is also super bland and not satisfying at all to dodge, dude deserved that F tier
I agree with like 90% of this list, only changes I’d personally make is sunflower B tier (I kinda enjoyed it idk why) and Radahn A instead of S. nice vid
I think radahn is the best bossfight in elden ring, it feels like the final battle. Unfortunately lot of people are disappointed because they expected godwyn as the final boss.
Midra and mesmer and bayle are the top dlc bosses for me as they had all the things i wanted which are presentation and difficulty and the flow of the fight.
Rellana was really tough up until I realized she finished every combo with a heavy attack (minus like 2 specific combos). Once I figured that out, she was very manageable. For me, it goes Messmer #1, Rellana #2 and Radahn #3. 100% Messmer was peak. I liked Bayle as a spectacle, but he wasn't that hard, and I don't love dragon fights. The build-up was lit, and then I got there and killed him on my second try, I think. I remember just sitting there like, that's it? Egon was the goat tho. Midra was pretty fun, but for me, it was pretty easy. Like Bayle the spectacle was def there but I'm ranking off of gameplay. Those 2 are still goated fights. I know everyone loves to hate Radahn, but even though that one triple hit was stupid, everything was dodgeable, and it became really satisfying to evade all of his combos. I enjoyed his fight (even if I banged my head against a wall several times lol).
I mostly agree, but Radahn was kinda boring ngl. Aside from the difficulty he didn’t really have anything unique apart from giving me a headache with his nonstop flash bang in phase 2. He’s better after the patch but I’m still very disappointed by him. Each to their own I guess but I personally found him to be not satisfying in the slightest, beat him a few times pre-patch and found myself not really caring that much when he died. His lore is pretty cool but overall he’s overrated as hell IMO. Respect for putting your opinion out there though :)
I disagree with some choices but seeing Messmer universally praised and living up to the hype makes me the most happy. I just wish he had more hp or a phase 3. He's what Malenia should've been imo.
the dancing lion is one of the best bosses in terms of design and moveset but the camera movement ruined it for me PS: Romina is just like morgott, shes perfect when youre underlevelled
@@ajxeee I know it's crazy but it's the same problem I have with Sister Friede (From Dark Souls 3) and Malenia the moveset is super spammy and she has very lack-luster build up she just happens to be the boss of Ensis and her lore is very shallow music is pretty great Tho and it didn't help that I was LAGGING when I fought her on my most recent DLC playthrough.

And yh she deserved a cutscene just like Romina and some dialogue.
You’re actually saying Radahn would be an A? I would probably put him in D, dude was boring as hell. He was super flashy but his moveset wasn’t engaging and his phase 2 gave me a headache with the laser light show, kind of a disappointing final boss for such a great DLC but each to their own I guess

@@julianthingvoll Sorry, but I have to strongly disagree. I’m sorry but blaming others for a broken boss move is just stupid. He is a boring boss even if the move was fixed. Dude just uses delayed attacks and the occasional magic blast. His moveset feels slapped together and unfinished. Also he charges after most moves if you aren’t practically touching him, and not every player uses a super aggressive tank build. So maybe shut up
I found Bayle to be a bit of a letdown, honestly. I've fought him with pure melee, mixed, and a magic build. I've never really had fun, other than my first casual playthrough, with Igon screaming his head off. Firstly, there are some massive hitboxes around his moves. For example, you could be standing to the side when he does his grab, and get brushed by a hitbox, despite not touching him. It doesn't grab you, and does only a little damage, but still does not make sense. I found some of the attacks in phase two, where he flies up, and slams back into the ground, and causes an eruption to have inconsistent hitboxes. You can dodge it by jumping or rolling, but I found that if you are near his chin, even if you time it correctly, he still hits you. Or maybe he doesn't. Or he does. It's really inconsistent. Speaking of his chin, it's really easy to get caught on his right side (the uninjured side). With many attacks, including his wing-claw slam in phase 1, despite rolling and trying to move towards his left side (injured) side, you'll end up on the right side. I found myself trying to run around to the injured side, as it's a blindspot, but his chin would block my way, constantly. Another problem moment is if he casts his chain lightning, that tracks you on delay, because his chin can trap you in between his right side, again, which is easy to get caught in. I don't know why they would have this glaring piece of his body cause so many problems. It feels like they didn't really playtest him for more than an hour, tops. Lastly, his damage output can be fair, or sometimes ridiculous. I think it has to do with some hitboxes, but I found myself, 18+ scadutree fragments, 60+ vigor, getting near one-shot at times. But again, it was only at times. Sometimes I would survive moves, and sometimes it would kill me. I have no clue or indication on why that is. I understand why Relanna can two tap me: she uses both swords, imbued with fire, in a double cross-slash, up and then down. But Bayle's moves are so 'ORANGE FLASHBANG' that I can barely process what's going on. Was I standing somewhere strange? Was there a bonus pillar of fire? DS1 instability frames? No clue. While the build-up aesthetic was interesting, and there was a sense of awestruck beauty behind his attacks, it wasn't FUN to FIGHT the boss. Bayle has the problem most Elden Ring bosses are criticized for: aesthetic over engagement.
