Trung Thu Dance with the Dragon - Từ Bi Tự

Trung Thu (Mid-Autumn Festival) has been celebrated for more than 3000 years where people give thanks for the harvest and to encourage the "harvest-giving light" from the moon to return in the coming year. In modern times, the Mid-Autumn Festival is still significant because the full moon during the festival is a symbol of happiness and harmony. Lanterns have also long been associated with the festival because of their traditional symbolization of luck, light, and familial togetherness. We are proud to present our dragon dance which historically has been integral for prosperous harvests and evolved over time into a tradition to ward off evil spirits and wish for good fortune.
